The Scuf Nemesis Pro is an excellent pc controller that is lightweight and highly customizable with the Scuf app. Unboxing the controller the first thing I noticed was just how lightweight it is. I would say it’s the lightest controller like this I’ve used. The controller comes with extra thumb sticks and back paddles, a USB-A to USB-C cable and a USB-A wireless transmitter. I like the fact the faceplates are magnetic and are easily replaceable when you want a different look. I think it would be nice if they did the same thing with the rubberized rear grips. This way they could be replaced with different textures or when they wear down from excessive gaming. The controller feels excellent to use as I really like the grip texture on the rear and the layout of the rear controls. The rear controls on this model are in the perfect position and are unobtrusive since they are more flat compared to other controllers like this I’ve used. I really like the clickyness to the Omron mechanical switches used for the buttons and the smoothness to the triggers and thumb sticks. With the companion app you can easily dial the controller in to what works best for you and store three different custom profiles that can easily be switched on the fly. I’m mostly a console gamer but when I do game on pc I prefer a controller (I know…I know) as I just haven’t fully mastered the keyboard/mouse and so far I love this controller personally.

I have looked up scuf controllers in past and have wanted one. But just never got one. I am glad was able to get this to try out and use. I do wish I had the black version over this grey version as black and orange is one of my favorite color combos. But first why 4 stars from me. I wished they would include a case to store controller when not in use or for traveling. I also have been using another controller I got and a few things from that one I would have liked to see on this. I would have liked to see a button that allows you to not be able to press the back paddles. This does come with 2 pieces that you can replace 2 of the paddles with that makes it so you don't use those 2, but it would be nice to also have a button for the other 2 at least or in general for all of the paddles. I also like on my other controller that it has only 2 paddles on the back but then 2 buttons, one on each side of the bumpers on top. Maybe an idea for scuf to keep the 4 paddles on back but add the 2 buttons on top as well. It does have a z button that I find it a bit harder to use with the location. I thought it would be great to assign Y or B as those are farther away and then that would allow a back paddle to assign to another button like the down arrow or something, but I just found it harder to reach and press. So, for now, I just left it disabled. I might assign that to the menu button as that feels a bit easier to get to, especially in games. I would also love to see them add a sniper type button. I have to set my sensitivity low as I have a hard time aiming when it is fast. I would love to be able to press and hold a button that would allow to look around at a faster sensitivity and then when shooting have it slow down. Something I would also love to see but not part of the 4 stars as I am sure it also has to come down with devs and game side, but it would be nice to have those buttons as their own button to be able to set as their own. last, I would have liked to see a docking station to put this in to charge that also acts as the receiver. Right now, it has a dongle and then a cord both of which need to get plugged in. You can do one at a time which is what I am doing, but I would like to have a station that does it all. Then if any updates come up, just dock the controller. But also allow to unplug the cord from the station and plug directly into controller if need to charge and still gaming. Right now, I use the dongle and then the cord into my wall to charge, which allows to charge if PC if off. But then I have to swap out with dongle if I need to update the firmware as it requires controller to be plugged in. That said, I have enjoyed using the controller even though I am not a controller person for FPS games. I mainly use it for sports, racing and Tony hawk games. I have been playing Halo CE lately for the campaign and this has brought back memories using a controller like back in the day on Xbox. I have also been using it for Fortnite and Call of Duty just to use. I still do prefer mouse and keyboard, but it was not too bad using a controller. It was easy to get used to using the back paddles. The 8000sample rate seems to be smooth and responsive. Did not feel any lag from inputs. The software allows to easily remap the buttons. You can also set your dead zones as well as if games have their own dead zone, you can counter that. Gaming as far as sports and racing games has been smooth. The only time I feel lag is when my pc lags itself. Overall, great feeling controller and responds instantly to your inputs.
