I've been using the Seagate Expansion 2TB Portable Hard Drive for a few weeks now, and it has exceeded my expectations. This is a great device for capturing data and photos that you want off your computer. The head of the IT dept at Lone Star College recommended using a good one like this to keep your financial data off your computer so hackers would not find them (only open when you are using them). It is very easy and fast to access the photos as you want. All-in-all, a very good buy.

So far this laptop has proven to be exactly what I needed! Great clarity, very nice keyboard, holds its charge, and just overall exceeds expectations. Also love the Flex top exclamation Geek Squad helped me do a lot of the preliminary transition and set up. Geek squad has already proven to well worth the investment. The photo has a mini keyboard that I bought overlapping the regular keyboard so please note this is not the best photo but it’s the only one I had on hand.

I purchased this Seagate 2TB drive primarily for backing up photos and important documents, and it's been working great for the past month. The setup was straightforward; just plug it in, and it's recognized immediately on my computer. Overall, it's a dependable external drive that does exactly what I need it to do without any issues.

The drive was “stupid” light in weight and very fast in copying files via usb. I am so glad I grabbed two drives. You cannot go wrong in picking this drive for backup and other uses.

This is a good option for external storage when on sale. I picked up a couple of them at a good price. The housing is plastic. The speed is typically 130 MB/s. I use them for backups.

Never thought i would recuperate some old fotos from an older laptop, but this did the trick and i was able to transfer them straight to my iphone 16

it has 1.8TB total. I stored my photos and videos from phone. easy to use, not slow when I transfer files. the only thing that I notice is when I deleted files, it does delete permanently without being asked “are you sure you want to delete it permanently”. but I guess that’s what most of hard drive now, unlike my old seagate hard drive that would pop up the question before deleting it unless I would click “never ask again”

I was able to store everything on needed to on here. Really easy to set up as well.

Works well for storing pictures and docs, but little slower than expected. But comes in handy when my phone starts getting laggy because my photos take up like 40gb worth of space -_-

I bought this because I wanted a HDD instead of an SSD because I read they were better. Now I think SSD are probably fine. I once unplugged this hard drive without ejecting first and the next time I plugged it in my computer told me it needed to be fixed. The computer fixed it, but that gave me a scare; I'd already put a lot of precious memories on it. You'd probably be fine with this or another product.

Have used Seagate as backups for all personal computers for many years. Usually last about 5 years with daily backups.

Since I have purchased this, it has remained in the box. Knowing this brand, I'm assured that when I do open the box, it will work to its full potential.

Overall this product served its person of backing up my stuff on my computer. It was easy to set up, along the recovery service plan does confuse me as it is not clearly stated. The device has a 1-year warranty after registering. It came with 1.7 TB of room when I plugged it in. I haven't tried it with any game console.
