Between Seagate and Western Digital, at least when it comes to USB Portable Drives, the clear winner is Seagate. Not only do they have a lower failure rate, but their connectors are standard SATA. Western Digital case connectors are part of the drive and proprietary. If a Seagate drive fails you can always install the drive itself into another case. Not so with WD. When a WD portable drive goes south, so does your data.

Very nice, fast, lightweight, petite hard drive. Plug and play. I though the color would be all around for those that care. The colore is only on top, but not that important to me. It's still nice looking, though I bought it for useability, not aesthetics. I got a red and a blue. I bit more expensive but I trust getting a known, long-time hard drive maker for such an important thing as a backup. It doesn't matter how fast it is or how pretty if you lose your data!

I purchased this a couple of years ago when i was entering college. I needed to upgrade from the one i bought way back in 2011. Definitely recommend this drive. Its easy to use, comes with software that makes management of your files easy, and can be used for a long period of time. I made this purchase back in 2021 and have zero regrets. It made moving from my laptop to a desktop effortless

I purchased this to use as additional storage for my Xbox-One after subscribing to GamePass, as it would save me the the hassle of having to constantly uninstall and re-install games. There were plenty of cheaper options elsewhere, but I wasn't really in the mood to gamble on a brand I had never heard of. I've had luck with Seagate devices in the past so, I didn't mind spending a little more for something I trust, plus the blue/white version pictured looked pretty cool to me. After several weeks of using it, I can happily report that it does what a hard drive should, and has indeed allowed me to download all the games my friends and I regularly play, with plenty of storage left to spare. If I had to nit-pick about anything, it would be that the actual product looks more silvery then blue to me, but does look sorta blue under the right lighting. Regardless, this would not have stopped me from purchasing, nor has it affected my overall satisfaction with the product.

This has been my best portable hard drive yet. It's very small, handy, and with plenty of room for all my data. I've had different brands like Western Digital and this brand outlasts them all. Great drive.

I've never used an external hard drive before, so I was nervous about choosing the right one. This hard drive is compact and easy to use, especially for anyone who's not tech savvy. It's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. Great amount of storage for the price.

Very easy to use (plug and play) went through USB 3 into apple MacBook with no issues. I have transferred pictures and videos from my GoPro, SLR's, dash cam and various other storage devices through the computer onto the Seagate One Touch as a back-up storage option. This is very compact and the transfer speed is fine for my application (120GB takes about 20 minutes through cable that comes with the Hard Drive). I would recommend this device.

I just wrote a review on a recent purchase since this one. I mentioned I have bought several of these. I especially like this one in red (its a color code for me) I have split up my backup history by videos & pics, computer & my phone. Also one is just for legal info ie our trust, banking etc. Cant go wrong. I could get it all on just one but like knowing I can speparate just a personal preference. Red Seagate 2tb compact backup drive Id share a pic but dont feel like unlocking our safe. ;)
