Great game overall; challenging, awesome graphics, and hours of entertainment. This game has brought back good old memories, I grew up playing the first ones on Snes and it's just a blast being able to play this game again on the go. The 3D effect is better than ever, and the interaction that brings the 3DS platform has no equal. It's a great game for an awesome value.

Donkey Kong Country Returns is a wonderfully ported 3D remake of the Wii game of the same title. Retro has crafted a beautiful world that for a perfectly controlled Donkey Kong to traverse. The title is very difficult but to allow everyone to see the end, the developers have added a level skip in the form of a silver DK showing you the critical path. If tight platforming seems intriguing, there are few handheld titles that meet DKCR's standard.

Some of my favorite games were the Donkey Kong Country games from the early 90's, at the time they were cutting edge and the graphics and music were amazing. This game for the 3DS reminds me a lot of those classic games, but with a lot of new features, like structures that crack and fall apart as you crash through them or swing by... a lot of moving props instead of just static backgrounds. It really keeps you on your toes.

This game is very enjoyable because it offers a lot of creative ways to find the items you need to complete the levels. If you can handle playing in 3D it is even more fun.

Game is very fun and challenging but can seem bland and slow at times if youve played the original. But at $19.99 you cant really complain.

This game is a great homage to the original SNES Donkey Kong Country. It feels similar, but never feels like a direct copy of the original. 3D is done well in this game as well to enhance the experience. Only potential issue is with the difficulty. This is not a game for novice platformers and can be frustrating at times. They have added a new mode to the 3DS version to help when you struggle.

Awesome game play got a great price with gamers unlocked membership

I bought this for my wife but seems like i play it more.haha its a very good game to past time. Not a bad price with gamer rewards too..

There's two ways to look at this game. First, you could look at it as a port of a Wii game and compare it's technical differences. Second, you can take the game on its own merit and judge accordingly. Either way, it's a win. For some port differences, the game doesn't look as good as the Wii version, it's frames rate is lower (30 compared to 60), and the motion controls are gone. Playing it on the smaller 3DS screen, the graphics aren't noticeably worse. I'm a fan of the motion controls being gone as well. The frame rate isn't actually something you'd notice unless you compared the two games side by side. In terms of judging the game on its own merit, it's a fantastic platformer. Very challenging, but fair. Outstanding music and nice graphics as well. One of the most memorable platformers in quite some time and it's just as memorable here as it is on the Wii.

This game is pretty awesome with the foreground swaps and the fast-paced platforming, but the bonus 3D effect isn't enough to overcome the drop in visual performance. This is the cheapest way to experience this game, but if you have the cash you might as well just get the Wii version.

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3d is excellent. One of the best games for 3DS. It's not so easy in the last levels, but if you have a minimum experience with platform games, you'll be OK. A must buy!

I remember this game from years back. I brought it for my grandson and it was still just as fun to play. The graphics are excellent. Great game for anyone to play and easy to learn.

Donkey Kong Country was one of those titles that blew my mind back in the SNES days with the music and graphics. This game doesn't disappoint!

oh yeah it's on like's its donkey kong now folks. this game is one of the best platforming games i have ever played on any console period. this may be a port of a wii game but oh does it deliver in spades. its got brand new levels, new items, easy mode, and in my opinion a better control scheme then its wii counterpart. the only flaws with this game is that the graphics are a step below the original and the frame rate is now at 30fps. other than that, this is one incredible game that no one should miss out on.

Brings me back to my childhood. Fun game, exactly how I remember it. Fun for kids and adults.

This is great for any donkey kong country fans. It's very difficult at times but way fun!

Can't go wrong with this one for 20 bucks. Lots to do. 3d is good as well
