The game is nothing like any of the acclaimed Super Mario platformers we know of, but it's similar to the dungeons from many well known Legend of Zelda games. In this game, Luigi must use his ghosthunting equipment to find all the shattered pieces of the Dark Moon while capturing many unique kinds of ghosts. Luigi must explore 5 different mansions. Each mansion will have a boss to defeat and a piece of the Dark Moon to abtain along with several levels to complete. The level length will depend on how long you spend searching for coins, ghosts, and other collectibles as completing the level. You will also have to search the mansion for keys to unlock doors that will give access to new parts of the mansion. It's definitely not the horror from Resident Evil, but it's a great game for those who like adventure similar to the dungeons from past Legend of Zelda games. If you enjoy Luigi's company and a sense of exploration, I would recommend it.

I picked up a 2 DS XL so this was a must buy for me. Luigi is my favorite Mario character and this is a continuation of the game that was on GameCube. Luigi is on an adventure to clear the ghosts out of the mansion. It's a great sequel to an underrated game.

Got this for my 6 year old. He finds it very fun and challenging at times. The story is great and in line with traditional Mario titles. I'd suggest this to anyone with children.

Nice graphics, good controls, nice story. Lots of nostalgia. Fun and easy to play.

A challenging but fun and great looking title form the earlier days of the 3DS. I admit I am a fan of Luigi so a little bias is present here. The game doesn't make it easy to finish, but not so difficult, you'll throw your 3DS across the room. Graphics are very good and so are the ghostly soundscapes. Nice use of 3D as well.

My six year old and I love this game! The graphics, story, and style are great. It is a really engaging game. It's a little tough for her, so I'm usually the one playing with her watching and commenting on how badly I'm doing...

This is a true sequel to the fun GameCube original. The graphics are good, the controls work well for the game and the 3D aspect of the game looks amazing. I didn't give it a 5 star review because it reuses maps over and over before it lets you move on, but that's somewhat to be expected on a 3DS game that can't have tons of maps.

I played Luigi's Mansion back on the Gamecube, and bought this for my son for his new Nintendo 2DS XL. This game brings back old memories and plays very nice! Some puzzles/levles can be challenging for my son, but that gives me a chance to play it.Lol.

It's a little challenging figuring out what to do. My 7 year old nephew played it and it was a bit challenging. I have played it and it's a fun game, does take some figuring out on the controls. I played on a 3ds and the 3d is really cool for a while.

My son loves Luigi and now he can't stop playing this game.

ahhhh the good old Game Cube days! This is a great follow up game to the original. There is a lot of going back and fourth so if you like games that are not challenging and straight forward, this is probably not for you.

I wasn't a huge fan of the original Luigi's Mansion. To be fair, I played it for the first time only last year, so I didn't play it back when it was new. Having said that, I really enjoy Dark Moon. Not everyone loves the mission structure, but I love it. I've always been a big fan of Nintendo handhelds, and this is a great game that fits right in on the 3DS. A must have game for your 3DS collection.

Great game for those nostalgic for the original and new players. Very entertaining for all ages, can't go wrong with almost any Mario/Luigi game.

Luigi's mansion was the best game to come out on the gamecube. It's about time we got a worthy sequel. Shame its on handheld and not on console
