I have only got to the second world, but so far its fun. I am playing it on the 2DS and I haven't had any real issues with judging jumping distances, but the view is pretty much fixed (unlike mario 64). you do have the ability to pan slightly left and right, but it doesn't really help that much. The game feels like a cross between a 2D mario platformer and a 3D mario platformer like Mario 64. But overall, its a great game so far!

Mario 3d land is one of those games that re dines mario type games. This is not a traditional side platformer style mario. Instead this is a fully 3d platform game just like mario 64 was on the N64. There are some great level design and its easy for beginner gamers. Hours upon hours of entertainment.

ith most of the Mario titles in the past decade, I've always been disappointed to smash my way through them in under a week without having faced any real difficulty at any point in the game. Mario 3D Land turns this on its head at the last minute. Upon defeating Bowser at the end of your standard round of 8 worlds, the game unlocks a new character and a new set of 8 more worlds that are all exceptionally challenging. The second set of worlds gets *NINTENDO HARD* at some points, and even the most experienced player will find themselves burning through dozens of lives on the same stage. The main difference is that there's no real punishment for failure because extra lives are near-unlimited and ridiculously easy to come by. Despite that, at the end of the day the sudden uptick in difficulty is just one of the many ways that Mario 3D Land honors and makes references to its roots. It borrows powerups, stages, tropes, enemies, and music from all throughout the series and ultimately makes this into one that was meant to appeal to the most longtime of fans.

Wow - what a great game on the 3DS family of systems. Whether or not you are playing in 3D or not - this game is fantastic. The level design is wonderful, the music superb... and best of all - it is Mario. It is one of the best, if not the best, Mario game on a handheld device. Highly recommended.

One of the 3ds' best platformers. Super easy pick up and go style gameplay, levels are nice and short and a whole lot of fun. Def pick up if you have a 3ds still

Such an amazing game! Great graphics, gameplay and super addictive to boot. I love the fact I can bring this anywhere I go and the 3d effect is great too!

My son is loving this game and seems to work really great without any issues at all. I enjoy watching him play it and it is really fun for me to play as well. These types of games are very addictive, so we monitor how much play time he has daily. We use it as a reward for him to get a lot of other chores done and to complete school work and reading, so it is a win win! It's been months since we have purchased it and he still loves it!

Mario never get's old and it's great how my daughter loves playing Mario games as well which brings me right back into my youth day's of the fun I used to have. On the 3DS it really took some getting used too and trying not to get dizzy with that 3D look it gives off. But all in all this is a very fun game. Very kid friendly and I'm glad that Nintendo has carried on the Mario tradition for all of these years.

I never really got a chance to play 3D Land when it came out but I did play 3D World. I fell in love with it and figured 3D Land would be just as good. Oh boy, it is a BLAST! 3D Land when played in 3D is a whole new experience. The music, controls, animations and graphics are beautiful. Definitely recommend to any Mario fan, big or small. Game on! Thank you.

I think this game gets overlooked because of the fact that it is on the 3DS and there are some cheesy 3D effects however this game does a great job of essentially moving the super Mario world formula from the super Nintendo over to a 3D world. I had a lot of fun playing this game and would say if you own a 3DS and you like any of the Mario games either 2D or 3D, this is a must buy.

I loved this game. But to be honest, I didn't finish it. I'm very busy, and work has just been... well, it's been a lot. Anyway, i got to Bowser and was fighting him and I was like "he's just a guy trying to get through the world? Why drop him in lava? I mean... does it make any sense?" So I stopped playing.
