Great value
The biggest strengths of the 3DS version is being able to create stages on the go and playing 88 campaign stages along with achieving stage specific medal challenges. Also included is the ability to play some of the stages uploaded on-line for the Wii U version. It goes online to pick random stages created using the Wii U version to form a playlist for the 100 Mario Challenge, and to download and play select stages from a playlist based around difficulty. Overall it’s a great game for the price and worth picking up if you love Mario games.

My 7 year old son plays it all the time!
My son got Super Mario Maker 3DS for Christmas and plays it all the time. Unfortunately there is no way to share your levels online and in order to share to another 3DS you need a second copy of the game. So I waited until the game went down in price and bought myself a copy so we can exchange custom levels. Also, you cannot share the same game cartridge with multiple 3DS’s. When I put his game cartridge in my 3DS it said all of his previous save data would be erased. So that’s the story of why we have two copies of Super Mario Maker 3DS. Would give 5 stars if custom levels could be shared online and if it wasn’t necessary to buy two copies of the game in order to share levels with family members.

Walking Journey Anthony
I bought this game so I could do a little extra gaming between games. I like how they have new levels with the classic gaming Style. I'm not really into the internet feature but I guess it's good for those I like it. I wish Nintendo would have make new games it look like the classic version. I guess something is better than nothing. Fellow me on YouTube Walking Journey

Good game.
Fun Mario Game. The only downside is my kids can’t share the game between their two 3ds’s. If you make boards on one ds and try to put it another ds, it will format the cartridge and erase all of your created boards. I had to buy two of these so my kids could both make boards without them getting erased.

Great game
Can either create own levels or play others. But need to have internet connection and don't get much of a preview before starting someone else's level. Good game though.
