Q: Can this be setup with 5GHZ wifi? or is it just 2.4
A: Neither. This is a ZigBee device on the 2.4Ghz band. It will not connect to WiFi networks.

A: Should be no issue, I have them in my bathrooms. They do not get too hot, so the moisture doesn’t seem to bother them.

A: I don't own amazon devices and have all mine connected to my smartthings hub rather than their sengled hub. By my knowledge Amazon devices are zigbee compatible out of the box and these bulb are zigbee rather than wifi or z wave which are the other two technologies these smart thing devices can be created so it should work without any hub. If you want to buy the hub, don't remember if Best buy sells the hub alone since I got it in one of the bundles but I do know it exist as a separate product , or you could just get the hub and bulb packs.
Q: will these work with google home app or do i need to download another app??
A: Sengled does have its own app that offers more control, but Google Home can control the lights if you just want basic on/off and only changing to certain colors. If you have a Google home, you can also control them with voice commands once you set that up.

A: Yes, you need a compatible hub to connect the lights to Alexa.
