Control lighting and appliances remotely with this Sengled smart plug. The streamlined design is easy to install in most outlets and connects to smart hubs using the included app for easy remote operation. This Sengled smart plug lets you monitor energy usage, control groups of lights and appliances, and set lighting schedules.
Q: How does this connect? bluetooth, Wifi, Z-Wave, or Zigbee?
A: It uses Zigbee. According to their own site, version 3.0 of the Zigbee protocol. I'm fairly certain it also works as a repeater to propagate the Zigbee signals to devices further from the Zigbee hub. Mine have been working very well with my Samsung SmartThings WiFi system, though, for some reason they get reported to Google Assistant as 'lights' rather than 'plugs', so I I've had to get creating in my room assignments, and avoiding phases like "all the lights".
Q: Is this compatible with I phone to control
A: undefined
Q: I want to operate my garage door remotely like I do the lights. How can I do that?
A: With something like https://www.bestbuy.com/site/chamberlain-myq-smart-garage-hub-black/5900972.p?skuId=5900972 I have not looked at that one recently. When I initially looked at it I discovered Chamberlain requires a subscription to enable this opener to interface with Google/Apple/other automation systems, so I went with a similar solution from a different manufacturer.
