I have this with an HD558 and a blue Yeti Nano and this is perfection to my ears and everyone else. The 2.0 mode is good for music not outstanding but good however the 7.1 is just ridiculous for gaming sound details. Footsteps are very detailed and everything is so balanced. I’m extremely pleased with this purchase.

I love this thing I really do. The surround is better than Dolby or Sonic. Much better imo. However if you are getting into high end headphones over i'd say 100ohms roughly... this guy just doesn't have the juice. Buy this if you solely use gaming headsets as they are all within the range of this beauty.

I pair this AMP with my Sennheiser HD 599 headphones. I can actually tell a difference between plugging them into the AMP vs my gaming motherboard. 1. SOUND: -The surround sound is MORE noticeable that i expected. However not as noticeable as my old Astro A50's. -The sound stage that this AMP provides is great for gaming and music. 2. BUILD QUALITY: -The build of this is top notch. Everything from the cables, to the dial feels and looks quality. -The "hover" feature is a nice added touch. -I do sometimes accidentally hit one of the bottom quick setting keys, but having them there does more good than harm. Good job Sennheiser.

I had a problem getting this to work, mainly because I didn't read the documentation. On a PC you need to click the loudspeaker icon (bottom right) and select "GSX 1000 Main Audio" or you won't have the 3D effect. Tech support was gracious. You don't need USB 3.x. The fit and finish reflects the premium price

This product is definitely worth the buy. I have a Logitech G Pro X headset that is hooked up to this. This soundcard is significantly better than the sound card that comes with the headset. Quality of sound output is very nice, as is the 7.1 Surround Sound that it puts out. Very accurate surround sound.

Okay DAC. I wish I got a spectate DAC and amp though to drive more powerful headphones. Work great with most headphones though.

Sounds awesome when paired with my Sennheiser headphones. Definitely can notice the difference

Not bad, but for my use of gaming, I preferred the Astro mix amp due to the customization of it. Perhaps I did not give the GSX 1000 a fair go though.
