A: You can use the right earbud without the left but not vice versa. This is because the left earbud is slaved to the right, meaning that it won’t work unless the right bud is active.
Q: Does anyone know how these would fare for gym use? Use the bose, but sound quality is mediocre.
A: They sound great and stay in ear very well. The only issue I see with any earbud like this is sweating and the wax or oils of your ear/skin sometimes making them a little slippery in ear. Just right fit the silicone pieces it comes with for the size of your ear and it shouldn't be too much of an issue, even with a lot of movement.
Q: any experience with airplane background noise?
A: With the right tips and if it is good fit there is isolation..not noise cancellation but isolation - like ear plugs
A: These buds do not have active noise cancellation, but the do a very good job at blocking exterior sounds. My previous buds had noise cancellation and I was a bit hesitant since these do not have the option, but I am satisfied with their performance in noisy situations. You will hear some outside sounds but they are distant and well isolated and at the higher listening levels all but the loudest sounds will be unnoticeable. I'm thoroughly impressed with the overall performance and highly recommend to listeners who value sound quality over features.
A: Unfortunetly, no. If these are your only pair you'd have and primarily use them for jogging I'd look elsewhere don't get me wrong they sound great but they tend to fall off if you step heavy or jog down hill so hikes can be finicky.

A: No, you cannot wirelessly charge them. They come with a USB-C cable for charging.

A: Yes, but only the right earbud, you can't do it with the left
A: They're too big to use them with a helmet. Sound quality is great due to its size, a smaller earbud will have smaller drivers, sound quality would be compromised.
