I have struggled the last few days with what to wright for this review. I think there might be two kinds of buyers for this unit. The first would buy this to replace an old unit that is worn out, and it would readily connect to all existing equipment with RCA connecters. The second is somebody like me that just bought a high end system and want to have a pure audio only circuit. This is a quality audio device, it is compact but excellent quality and full featured. I bought this in part because it was described as having 3.5mm outputs and I could easily connect to my New Nakamichi Dragon system. This unit DOES in fact have BOTH, RCA and 3.5mm outputs, it would easily connect to any system old or new that has RCA or 3.5mm, aux audio in just by the type of connector cable used. If you buy this to replace an older unit you could use all existing cables and change nothing else. If like me you just hate the idea of playing CDs on your Blu Ray player and want an audio only input you will have to buy a connector cable as well. I bought my Nakamichi Dragon system about 2 months ago and I love it but it just felt incomplete without an audio only chanel. Caution tho, if you do this to get the very best sound, you could easily spend as much on a connector cable as you did the CD Player. I bought the Player but was totally unprepared for the difference in prices on cable. It is very easy to give this Player a good review, it is a compact quality audio device, not a toy. If you are wanting the best sound from your system tho you will need to think of the cable as an equal part of the system not just an accessory. Happy Listening!
