Q: How often do you have to change the filter?
A: Once every 6 months but it actually depends upon usage, the more frequently you use it and the higher settings you use will require you to change it sooner, the same can be said for the opposite of this. If you use it less frequently or at lower settings the longer you can go without actually needing to change it. It does have a built in function that displays the life of your filter as a percentage.
Q: Does it filter airborne particles as low as 0.1 micrograms
A: The Shark 3-in-1 Air Purifier is equipped with a 3-stage HEPA filter that is designed to capture 99.98% of particles down to the 0.1–0.2 micron range, plus odors and VOCs. The cylindrical structure pulls air through the back and sides of the air purifier and passes it through the HEPA filter. Particles such as smoke, mold, and allergens are then trapped in the HEPA filter, allowing only clean air to be passed through the top vents.
Q: How does the fan function compare to a regular tower fan?
A: Tower fans usually run the whole height, the only part is the small part on top, but it works fairly well. And it's just high enough to hit above the bed for people who sleep with a fan on
A: I have mine about 8 inches away from wall the only reason that is said is because sometimes when you dont clean or replace filters like your supposed to you can get black carbon or discoloration on the wall were unit is.
Q: Has anyone purchased this specifically to eliminate odors and was it successful for removing odors?
A: Hmm I’d say around 7/10 if I place it near the odor center. We also smoke inside and it clears the room within 10 minutes both smell and smoke
Q: How often do you change the filter ?
A: I rinse mine every 2 months and replace at a year. When you rinse and clean filter let it completely dry before reinstalling and reset your filter light
Q: My machine just stopped working Just purchased in November it will not restart

Q: Can this work to use during winter to heat a 1000 sqft open unfinished basement?
A: I doubt that this will keep a 1000 sq ft unfinished basement heated up but it sure makes a 300 square feet office room warm everytime i use it.
