After nearly 5 months of use I was hoping to love this Shark as much as my 6 year old cordless Dyson, but I find it mediocre at best. It often overheats, clogs with hair, takes hours to fully charge. The attachments are cheap, what you would see on a $100 model but versus this one at $500, I expected better. Disappointed to see it’s on sale now and $70 off what I paid previously in June. Overall I wouldn’t recommend it, at least it sucks up dirt and I’m not tripping over a cord. However I do enjoy the self empty feature but notice the finer powdery dirt remains in the vacuum it lots of small crevices, leaving an odor when the vacuum is in use. We don’t have pets, just kids with long silky hair, and we refuse to wear shoes inside. Many features we assumed would be helpful but aren’t that much; the color changing head based on the amount of dirt is inaccurate, so is the screen battery life, and like I said previously, it over heats easily. We’ve cleaned it out a handful of times since we purchased and just find the quality lacking, if I had to purchase again I would have gotten something else.

This vacuum is excellent on hardwood floors, and the auto-empty feature is a fantastic upgrade. However, the "auto shut-off" is incredibly sensitive on carpets; it constantly triggers, thinking the vacuum is stuck. After speaking with support, switching to Eco mode helped slightly, but it still shuts off far too often. I loved my older model because it worked perfectly on all surfaces, but I only upgraded because the auto-empty on that unit broke. Disappointed that the newer version struggles with basic carpet.

I have 3 different rugs. Different types of carpet and it doest work on any of them. It also cogs easy on the roller. Bare floors it is good but still doesn't pick up everything. I bought it and didnt get to use it before the return date. Very expensive mistake on my part. I don't recomend even with bare floors. There are cheaper ones that work just as good or better.

Have had this vacuum for a little over 6 months now. I will be returning it. It was disappointing. Suction is low, battery runs out before I'm completed cleaning. I do like not having a cord and the stand is nice to have. 2 stars - will go back to a regular corded shark - I loved my old shark, this one not so much.

I purchased this product and was never able to use it because the battery wouldn’t charge. I exchanged it for the same model at Best Buy, but the second unit gave me sensor errors after just one use (half a battery). Since this device has a dedicated sensor for vacuuming along corners, the poor-quality plastic scratches easily, which ends up scratching the sensor. This causes it to malfunction and fail to detect where it’s vacuuming, resulting in constant errors. The dock doesn’t properly empty the vacuum more than half the debris remains inside the device. As for the filters, expect to clean them after every single use, along with all the sensors. This product is definitely not practical it requires more effort than it saves.

This item is super bulky and kind of clunky. I ended up returning it.

Battery life is terribe after 5 months and the suction has gone down hill. Everytime i turn off the vacuum a pile of trash falls out.

It is a neat device with the self canister cleaning feature and all but it is a very heavy unit. I ended up returning it and getting the lighter self cleaning unit by Shark.
