I usually have a lot of trouble drying my thick, long hair, but this product streamlined the whole process! After just a few passes, my whole head was straight and silky smooth. It's definitely a big investment, but it's worth the extra money for the time and energy it saves. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have an easier hair-drying process and smoother hair overall!

I'll say I was skeptical to say the least, the device claims to be able to quickly dry and straighten hair over individual tools. I wont say I was completely won over but I do see the appeal, so lets get into it. Packaging: Packaged like most other products these days, the device, some attachments, some modest documentation and that's it. Use: First, I will say that the paperwork it comes with isn't the most straightforward in the world in terms of explaining how to use it, it talks about the different comb attachments but doesn't explain if they are required or just 'help' the situation or really why to use one over the other aside from just referring to them as 'coarse' and 'fine', so there's some improvements to be made there. Now for the actual use. I'll preface this by saying I'm coming from a daily driver of a 2200 watt hair dryer and a hair straightener that can get 440' so they are both tall orders for this to hit. In starting from wet out of the shower hair to styled I cant say that I saved any true time, maybe because my original devices are so powerful, but I can say that if I were packing for a trip that I was limited on space but *needed* both a dryer and straightener this would be a huge space saver over taking my other two devices. The hair dryer portion doesn't seem to put out enough airflow, especially with the documentation saying to use it as a 'rough' dryer first before attaching combs and starting to use the straightener with the dryer on. It's difficult to get nearest to your head and it'll remain somewhat damp even when you've switched to the combs and finally just the straightener. The unit is very loud as well since the ports for the airflow are so small. I also wish the air blew out of both sides though I can see how it would be a design challenge as the 'fixed' side of the device is where the air is pushed from since the inlet is at the base of the unit near your hand. I don't "love" the attachments, it's just one more thing (3 more things, 2 of which are tiny) to keep track of and eventually lose. if they had come up with some what for them to retract into the tool (entirely possible I think, especially with the small combs) or attach to the cord or something so they are more easily managed than the little soft sided bag to lose in my pile of soft sided bags it might be something more useful. As purely a hair straightener it's fine, gets the job done without any bells and whistles, the handle isn't 'quite' rounded enough so it can squeeze the meat of your hand if you dont hold it just right, but maybe that's just me. Overall: I like the idea, but it's not quite there, it needs some additional fine-tuning and I think it could be a good device. In a pinch it works or if you have space constraints when traveling, but I prefer my individual devices over this.

It has a lock button for the plates, which is nice to have to keep the plates clean and more secure during storage. The plates are relatively wide, and they provide ample room to grab larger sections of hair, which cut down on styling time. The two specialized brushes do a good job smoothing out the hair, and the dual-action system allows both the fan and heat modes to work together when treating damp or wet hair. Safety is built right in with an automatic mechanism that engages if the straightener is left idle for about five seconds. My wife used the straightener several times this week and she says it feels a bit heavy after prolonged use during styling. When the fan is turned on, the airflow blows toward the face, and the operating noise is somewhat loud. === Performance === My wife has long and slightly wavy hair that goes down toward the base of her back, and she said the product has not significantly reduced her styling time, most likely because her hair isn’t very thick or voluminous to start with. She says the final result is definitely not salon quality; her hair is not as smooth or straight as it would be from a salon. She did not use the wide-tooth comb for wet hair because her hair is too fine, but she used both the precision comb and gentle comb, and they helped the straightening process in a positive way. She noticed that when she tried to straighten her hair while it was damp by using the dry mode, her hair felt drier a day later and was less smooth. In comparison, it achieved a better result when only the heat setting was used. The motion-sensing feature did not really function as intended, as she did not notice any airflow adjustments or automatic noise reduction. === Is it worth the coin? === In conclusion, this product did not do an impressive job with my wife’s fine and slightly wavy hair, nor did it create the salon results she was expecting. Thus, I rate it 3.5 out of 5. Ultimately, it is not worth the cost premium since other brand-name straighteners can deliver similar results for less coin.

My wife always enjoys having straight and smooth hair after showers, this her first one that she got that also support air blow dryer. the fact that ots support from wet to rapid dry its such an amazing device she’s currently enjoying on her day routine for the past few days. Shark Silkipro design is also very attractive to look at, we have the purple and white combo with some hind of gold and yellow a beautiful looking device. DEVICE & FEATURES: The Silkipro comes with two mode Wet and Dry and you also get 3 attachments these comb are the design specifically based on your current hair situation. but shes been sticking with the gentle comb since she have more of a straight natural hair This also have HeatSense Ceramic Plates which is another major feature, which they claimed that the integrated sensor monitors temperature 1000 times per second and it automatically adjust the heat in Wet mode. this air dryer also supports motion sensing control which automatically reduces airflow when the plates aren’t touching your hair, it also helps increases airflow when you actively styling. another feature is Dry mode, once your hair is already dry you can use the silkipro to refresh your style. EXPERIENCE: so far Silkipro has been very convient for my wife, you dont need multiple tools just to style and dry your hair. the comb attachment help prepare your hair the ability to switch from wet and dry was easy. i’ve definitely notice after she use this hair dryer her hair looks smooth, shiny and polished. the results looks amazing on her and she just loves the overall look that it gives her. but one thing she did mentioned was its kinda big for her, theres a learning curve when ut comes to using Silkipro so it did not feel natural to her right away, she said it takes a bit more time to figure out or the best technique to use which I think it’s understandable when it comes to new tech. CONCLUSION: Overall my wife is impressed with Shark Silkipro and thinks its one impressive tool to style your hair. the biggest pro is the convenience of being able to dry and straighten your hair with one device so its less clutter around the space. the 3 interchangeable combs is great that help and adapt depending on your hair situation. The Heatsense technology and lower temp wet mode are also reassuring youre trying to reduce your reliance on high heat. the only bad thing is that the Shark Silkipro is not particularly the smallest or simplest styling tool theres can be a learning curve, it was a bit heavy for my wife, but overall shes happy with it and would just need more time to be fully sync with her day to day routine

The big appeal…wet to dry styling with a single tool. It takes about 30 minutes from towel dry to straight dry hair and SilkiPro delivered and it in fact kept it’s promise. It took my routine and cut the time down to 15 minutes from 30 minutes. That is very impressive to be sure. But there are some trade offs that are not a deal breaker but something to consider. The first trade off is that the crown and top 2 inches from my hair root stay modestly damp. Due to the one sided blow drying air coming out at the end of the tool the top 1.5 to 2 inches only get the heating element to dry it. After 15 minutes and the 90% of my hair nice and dry and straight the top and a few inches around the crown of my head is damp… To be fair, the 15 minutes of time saving is worth that and the over all look of the finished product is top notch but it is a little damp. Another thing to note is that since the airflow is directional versus a non directional traditional heat element that is unidirectional. I had to make sure I was pointing the airflow in the right direction (downward from the root of the hair) to get the straightening/drying effect. That was a little awkward as I switch hands and directions from my right to my left. The last thing of note was just how big the plug is itself (see pic) it took up a two prong outlet …it’s big! But again the real feature that it absolutely gives you is the time back!!! Getting ready for work or a dinner date or just not spending all my time in a bathroom is worth it. I mean it literally erased 15 minutes of my “get ready” ! In addition to the time saving (which again is huge), I liked the light weight feel, the quality build and design and just how easy it is to use as far as settings and features. The dry setting also functions as a top notch flat iron which means I don’t have to have two separate tools if I only needed the flat iron part. I also appreciated the different size guide combs and the QR “how to” videos that got me up and running in no time. It also comes with a little bag to keep the combs in which is nice. It also has a neat safety feature that shuts off the air after 3 seconds when you set it down. Nice. The overall results looked great just as good doing my old routine BUT… Half the time.

This wet-to-dry straightener works amazingly well and has a few features I was wishing for in past options. *What’s included?* The straighten comes with a with three combs: a wide tooth, precision, and gentle comb. They are easy to attach and remove plus they are made of hard, thick plastic that does not get hot so they can be changed out with no worries midway if necessary or if someone else is going to use it right away and has a different preference or need. *Build Quality* It is lightweight, sturdy, and well-made. Has a locking mechanism as well that helps straighten better and helps during storage. Locking mechanism allows it to basically become a blow dryer. I love that they included that and it makes storage easier. *Outcome* This straightened and dried my hair shockingly quick. It also didn’t cause much damage, which I was really worried about because you never know when working with wet hair. Since it blows air while straightening, it does look somewhat frizzy after initially finishing, but I woke up with my hair silky smooth next morning and it has held up great for the last five days. I braid my hair to sleep, and it hardly holds the braid waves compared to when I just blow or air dry it. The combs really help in creating that smooth finish and I don’t have to worry about accidentally straightening knotted hair or snagging it. I did try to curl the ends but found it hard due to the width. I consider myself a pro sat curling with a straighter, this width just isn’t ideal for that. I mention this because my teen daughter kept asking so I figured others may be wondering as well. *Additional Features* I love, love, love that they made this a blow dryer as well! The fact that it will blow air if you close it allowed me to blow dry after straightening to ensure no damp spots were missed. It made my life so much easier. Also, the straighter comes with auto-pause when you set it down. I love this feature so much and it is especially helpful during the heatwave I have been dealing with. I additionally have to commend that it does not come with a huge brick that dangles from the power cord. So many hair heat products have that, and it constantly dangles and hits my cabinets plus makes storage bulkier. This power cord is brick-free save for the actual plug. *Conclusion* I am overall very impressed with Shark’s SilkyPro. It is gentle on the hair yet provides fast and lasting results. Plus, it has the features I have been wanting for a long time so I cannot help but recommend it based on all of this.

I was really hoping that this would work as well on my hair as it was described and it does. It’s been about a year now since my hair has been without any type of chemicals so it’s all natural. My hair is coarse and coily and not always easy to maneuver. I have to admit that right out of the box it looked a bit intimidating since I haven't used something like this with ceramic plates. I took the pieces out and went through the directions. Using the QR code was also a helpful way to access all the info. At first, figuring out how to hold it while passing it through my hair was a little awkward but after using it a couple of times, I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Having the flexible cord was also helpful. It is a great time saver, being able to dry my hair and straighten it at the same time. I love that there are different ways you can use, whether my hair is wet and needs to stretch while drying or using it between times when my hair is already dry. I think it was a great idea to have a wide tooth comb. I think it made a huge difference in helping to detangle my hair quickly while drying it.I did use the suggestion to section my hair while using it while it was wet. I also tried the 2 smaller combs too and didn’t notice too much of a difference with them. But maybe I needed to use them a little longer. The airflow and temperature control with the wet and dry modes works great! Once I got the hang of it, it worked pretty quickly. You can see the difference in my hair before and after in my included pictures. I love the way it makes my hair look, it feels soft and looks silky. And my hair stays down flat even today with the wind blowing. With a busy family and busy schedule, I absolutely love that it goes off after 3 minutes of not using it. I always get nervous if I get distracted and forget to turn something off so that really helps me with peace of mind.

This Shark SilkiPro Straight lives up to its name!!! It leaves my hair super smooth, shiny, and buttery soft. I have been loving it so far, and honestly, I can’t find anything negative about it. I have a lot of thick and wavy hair, so straightening my hair either took a long time or I would easily get tired from holding the styling tool. The SilkiPro has definitely cut down the styling time for me, and that’s a win win for me. Honestly, in less than 10 minutes, I had nice, straight hair that felt so soft I didn’t even need to add any additional hair products. Now, when it comes to using it on wet hair, it did take a little longer,as much as I tried to part out my hair into smaller sections it took a min to dry. Using the blower combined with the wide-tooth comb helped a lot because it was drying and straightening my hair at the same time. I also like that it comes with two other combs: the Precision Comb and Gentle Comb. I like to comb through my hair first to get rid of any knots. That way, when I straighten my hair, it doesn’t pull or tug on my hair. The temperature buttons are easy to reach while maneuvering the straightener, which I really like. Another great feature is that when you put the straightener down while blow drying your hair, the blower automatically slows down. I thought that was pretty cool! I also don’t think this is a heavy or bulky tool. It feels pretty lightweight to me, and the power cable swivels around, so it doesn’t get in an awkward position while I’m styling. Overall, this has quickly become my go to styling tool! I love how smooth and soft my hair looks and feels after using the SilkiPro.

Shark SilkiPro Straight All-in-one tool that goes from wet to straight in no time! This product is convenient and effective for drying, straightening, and smoothing my naturally curly hair. It’s easy to use, and I can quickly move from dryer mode to Heat Sense ceramic plates to smooth out the flyaway for a stick-straight look. Having all the tools in one product saves so much time, not to mention the quick drying time of the wet-to-dry mode. The airflow can be adjusted in 3 different modes. I’ve used the wet-to-dry mode with freshly clean, wet hair and can go from wet to dry, straight, smooth, and styled in less than 15 minutes. I’ve also used it for Day 2 hair with a little dry shampoo and a quick touch-up in dry mode. The Shark SilkiPro Straight is very similar to a typical straight iron when used in dry mode, with one small difference. There are 2 small combs included that can be interchanged to assist in combing the hair while straightening and smoothing. The heat can be adjusted in 3 different categories. Either way the product is used, the straight look lasts all day – even in the heat of the day with the Midwest humidity. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for something quick and easy to get the straight look.

This lightweight tool makes quick work of drying and straightening hair. I have only used the two smaller combs, as I have finer hair, and they both work well. The combs are simple and easy to push in and pull out when you want to change them. I like that it is easy to learn how to use. It has three heat settings and three fan settings and you can tell it if your hair is dry or wet. I have used it mostly on wet hair and it makes quick work of getting my hair done of a morning. Something nice about having it closed to dry the roots before straightening is that it directs the air well into a small area and does not make my hair fly around all over the place. I can focus on the roots. For dry hair that you just want to smooth down, you can turn off the air - so nice to keep hair from getting pushed around after it is all dry. While I mostly use it on wet hair, it worked well on dry on dry hair on day two, to smooth my hair back down. I make several passes per section of hair when I am using it for wet hair and it hasn’t seemed to dry my hair out or make it more frizzy. I use a heat protector serum, then gel, and once my hair is one, I use a gloss oil to smooth my ends. This is the same process I use as with other tools and I think my hair comes out a little less fly away with this tool. Now my dilemma is when traveling - I have an extra tool that I’ll want to take with me! I recommend it for easy and fast straightening. Nice hair with little work.

This Shark SilkiPro Straight Wet to Dry Straightener + Rapid Blow Dryer is a real time saver! A couple of key points that I like – 1. It has a long cord and easy way to wrap it 2. It’s quiet! 3. It’s compact with all the tools needed easy to keep in place 4. It gets the job done quickly and well I have a comb hair straightener that I’ve used in the past and it gets the job done – when my hair is dry. But the Shark SilkiPro can be used while your hair is wet! Amazing! Make sure to use some heat protectant and watch your mode – it has settings near where the cord attaches for wet or dry. Set it to wet (picture with the little rain drop) and start combing out your hair! It dries and straightens at the same time and is actually a lot quieter than a hair dryer. It smooths out your hair so nicely and I feel like it has extra shine. The attachments are easy to slide on and off but won’t fall off. The unit itself is a little heavier and bulkier than my basic comb straightener but it’s a two in one so that makes sense. I always like the Shark products. I have found them to be high quality and thoughtfully created. This one is no different. If you are looking for a straightener that will save you time this is a terrific option to consider.

In short, this is a combination hair dress with a hair dryer, with obvious benefits. Unlike press attachments to hair dryers that can become too unwieldly, this is larger than a standard hair press but much more manageable. It provides recission temperature control for the hair dryer part and press. The tool is very sleek, and this being in Plum Satin, very stylish too. It also comes with a long brush attachment and two smaller brushes that fit within the press. Because of the combination of hot or cold air with the press, it not only flattens curly hair but also is able to provide the silk press finish of a glossy hair from a hair salon. My daughters have been using this as well and they’re very happy with it. Like other newer Shark hay dryers, it's very sleek, doesn’t burn out the hair and it's relatively quiet. Besides the dryer and the fact that can be used with wet hair, it works best when one parts the hair in sections before using it. Controls are extremely simple, with an wet/dry/off, temperature and fan speed buttons. There is a latch button to keep it pressed for storage. It comes with a pouch for the accessory brushes and a cable tie for the power cable.

The Shark SilkiPro is an interesting attempt at creating a versatile hair straightener that also functions somewhat like a brush and blow dryer. There are definitely some things it does very well, and the overall build quality is what I would expect from Shark. Unfortunately, both my wife and I had some notable issues with it. We both have long hair, but our hair types couldn't be much more opposite. Mine is very fine and wispy, while hers is incredibly thick. I also live in a very humid area and typically straighten my hair almost every morning. If I don't, the combination of humidity and my hair type can quickly make it look like I've never seen a hairbrush in my life. Since I spend a lot of time on Zoom calls, straightening it in the morning is just easier. For my hair, the SilkiPro actually performed pretty well in terms of straightening. I tried both the wet-to-dry and dry modes, and it got my hair incredibly straight. The wet-to-dry function also worked surprisingly well… the problem is that it almost worked too well for my particular hair type. My hair already tends to lay flat, and this made it exceptionally flat. If you have fine hair and are trying to maintain some volume, that may be something to consider. I experimented with the different comb attachments and eventually settled on the smaller comb with the finer bristles. Unfortunately, this is where my my biggest concern with the SilkiPro comes from: it kept pulling my hair. Eventually I found myself running a regular hairbrush in front of the straightener and sometimes even holding my hair near the roots so the Shark wouldn't tug directly against my scalp. My wife tried it several times as well, and her experience offered insight on some very different issues. Again, she has extremely thick hair, and the wet-to-dry function struggled to keep it. It took a long time to work through all of her hair, and even then we had difficulty getting the results she wanted. She had the same hair-pulling issue I did. We tried different comb attachments, she used it herself, and I even tried straightening her hair for her. No matter how we approached it, we kept encountering that same tugging. She also pointed out something I hadn't really considered at first: this thing is big. She kept commenting on how bulky it felt in her hands, and once she mentioned it, I couldn't stop noticing it either. It's a fairly large tool, and maneuvering it around certain areas of your head can feel awkward. I could definitely see someone with smaller hands finding the size uncomfortable, particularly during a longer styling session. There are still several things I really like about the design. The airflow automatically activating when you clamp down is great, it’s a really neat feature that takes you by surprise at first. I like the locking mechanism for traveling, and when you close the straightener, the ceramic plates make even contact across the entire surface. It feels balanced, solid, and well built. It’s definitely very well built and very high quality Ultimately, though, it just didn't work particularly well for either of us. My fine hair became extremely flat, while my wife's thick hair took far too long to work through. Those are very different problems associated with very different hair types, so I can absolutely see someone somewhere in the middle having a completely different experience and loving this. The one issue that seems to be universal though is the hair pulling, as we both experienced with every attachment offered Overall, I think the SilkiPro is one of those products where you'll probably know pretty quickly whether it's going to completely change your hair routine or simply never become part of it. Unfortunately, after giving it multiple chances on two completely different types of hair, my wife and I both fall into the second group.

Shark has a way of innovating in areas where it seems like nothing new can be done but I can say Shark has done it again. Unboxing the device it feels very substantial and well made, like it will hold up well over time, more or less like all Shark products I’ve used. I have used many straighteners and blow dryers in the past but the Shark Beauty SilkiPro Straight Wet to Dry Straightener plus Rapid Blow Dryer was a total game-changer. Instead of drying your hair first and then flat ironing it, it lets you dry and straighten at the same time. It also cuts down on styling time and helps prevent a lot of heat damage. There was not a lot of wait time for it to heat-up and it cools off very quickly. It also has three interchangeable combs which are awesome for my curly hair. This product streamlined the whole process! After just a few passes, my hair was straight and silky smooth very easy to use, outstanding product and I highly recommend it. If you’re looking for a straightener plus blow dryer functionality the Silkipro is an all around excellent device!

This review is for the Shark - SilkiPro Straight Wet to Dry Straightener + Rapid Blow Dryer. This Would not be my first choice for drying my hair. Pros: hair was sleek and straight after use The blow dryer has an auto shut off feature when it’s set down and not moved for a few seconds—very convenient when drying in sections. It is nice to have an all-in-one blow dryer and flat iron combo. The directions were very good and easy to follow but a little overwhelming with all the different options and how to use each attachment. After using it a couple more times, I’m sure it would be easier to get the hang of it. Cons: I let my hair air dry until it was just slightly damp, then used the blow dry option in order to reduce heat damage to my hair. I found that my hair wasn’t as soft after using it compared to my traditional blow dryer and round brush method. Which leads to my next con; my thin hair lacked any volume or body so I will not be reaching for this product very often. I also burnt my finger twice while blow drying with the wide tooth comb option on the thermal plates of the flat iron. Would recommend a thermal resistant glove if using that feature.

Bought as a gift for my wife. She loves how her hair comes out after use. The wet to dry feature is a game changer.

Easy to use. I love that I can dry and straighten at the same time when it is wet. I feel like it doesn’t pull at my hair like others.

So convenient. It has honestly made my life so much easier since I started using it! I don’t know how I managed without it before. I bought the Shark SilkiPro in Plum Satin to cut down my morning hair routine, and it has exceeded expectations. Taking hair from wet/damp straight to a smooth finish in one step saves about 15–20 minutes.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the one we bought didn't work and we had to exchange it. However, the new one works and she loves it!
