This is my first bladeless tower fan that I’ve owned, and despite the amount of space it takes up, I really like how powerful and versatile it is. Bladeless fans like this one lack the traditional rotating propeller-style fins and instead push jets of air through narrow channels over stationary blades resulting in precise, directed streams. The fan takes less than a minute to put together, and the metal, telescoping central column simply twists and locks into place while the second air nozzle slides into the top to complete assembly. It comes with 2 AAA batteries for the remote control. What I find most innovative about the TurboBlade is the ability to pivot its orientation anywhere from a vertical tower to a fully horizontal beam. Each side of the fan (the nozzles) can be independently swiveled 90° in both directions with a total reach of 180° to direct airflow precisely where you want it. The fan also oscillates with side-to-side motion, though you should make sure that there’s enough clearance when used horizontally so that it doesn’t hit any walls or objects. The fan has a minimum height of 31” with the blades oriented horizontally and 45” with the blades positioned vertically while its width is 31.5” wide and 10” respectively. The height can be increased up to 6” by gently pulling or pushing the center column to extend or retract it, while allowing you to stop at any desired height in between; this operation does not require a lot of force and once the height is set, its position feels secure. The unit has a single physical function button on the base 11” from the floor that can be used to turn the unit on/off with a short press and change fan speed (1-10) with a long press. When changing the speed with this button, you need to hold the button for at least 3 seconds for the first change, while each additional second you hold the button will increase or decrease another level. Note that if the current fan level is less than the max speed of 10, holding the button will always change the speed upward. Only when the fan is already at the max speed will holding the button decrease the speed. I found that the lowest speed provides just enough airflow to provide a touch of coolness throughout a medium sized room while producing only a low whir, while at max speed you get a lot of strong airflow to cool down a room quickly with a noise level similar to that of my central vacuum system. For other functions of the fan, you’ll need to use the remote control. The remote is RF, so it does not need a direct line of sight to the fan. The area behind the nozzles is magnetic, allowing you to conveniently store the remote right on the unit. The remote lets you change the fan speed up and down, set the oscillation pattern to 45, 90, or 180 degrees, enable a sleep timer from 1 – 12 hours (over 5 intervals), adjust the fan’s horizontal angle, and enable one of the specialty modes: Sleep, BreezeBoost, or Natural. Sleep mode mutes button press chimes and dims the LEDs while still giving you access to all 10 fan speeds. BreezeBoost allows you to instantly switch to max speed; pressing either speed adjustment key exits this mode and returns you to your original speed. Lastly, natural mode ramps up and down the fan speed in random intervals to simulate wind. When turning off the fan, the fan will remember the speed that you last used when you subsequently power it up, however, the exception to this is if you were last using one of the specialty modes. When powered down in one of those modes, the fan will default to the lowest fan speed the next time you turn it on. The 5 LEDs on the front of the base indicate your selections for speed, oscillation, and timer with various patterns. You can also toggle the settings chime on/off by pressing and holding the timer and oscillation buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. At the back of the base, there is a removable grill for cleaning out any dust build-up and a carrying handle for lifting and moving the fan. Overall, this bladeless tower fan meets all of my needs for non-air conditioned cooling. It distributes air quickly with precise positioning of the airflow in any direction, is height adjustable, and can oscillate to reach multiple areas of a small to large room. The remote lets me choose the mode and settings that create the most comfort in different situations and its relatively quiet operation is fairly unobtrusive. It also comes with a 2-year limited warranty.

This is a unique bladeless fan. It even has a hammerhead shark feeling to it. With all that aside, the installation was simple and straightforward. The directions were simple with a number to follow for guidance. It's a well thought out design. A problem with a lot of fans is the noise level. You want cool air without a loud humming or pitch in the background to distract you. I have used fans for many years. This has been the most optimal for my case. I have been testing it in my office/work area. I enjoyed the 45-degree oscillation rotation. That is more than enough to keep my cooled off and my desktop. Circulating air in my room which can get muggy in the Spring and Summer time. The base of the bladeless fan can easily be rotated to get the correct angle. There are 10 different fan speeds. Right now, I have been using it on speed 3. I don't see much of a use for higher speeds. With higher speeds comes noise, of course. At the max setting, it sounds like a jet engine blowing cool air all over the place. You get the standard settings as must modern fans. You get a timer, oscillation, and a specialty mode. The fan comes with a remote that can be kept on the fan itself. This is done with magnets. So you are less likely to lose the remote. The fan itself does an excellent job of producing and rotating cool air. With the design, you have the option of turning the fan blowers. I opted for the more vertical route. Blowing and rotating the air to my liking. The only negative would be at higher speeds this fan sounds like a jet engine. I don't think most people would use this on speeds 7, 8, 9, or 10. But if you do, just be advised. Overall this is a good bladeless tower fan with a unique design. There are still many custom angles waiting for me to figure out.
