I see that it has a very large plate for fitting larger items inside to be microwaved

Moved into a new home and the microwave there was ancient and unpowered, so went looking for a new one. It’s actually difficult to find one like this. Most have the “too much” or “too little”. “Too much” being why need an oven with having that, too little being toaster could heat it better. This one is slightly on the larger side for a counter top one but fits well. The stainless does well with keeping fingerprints off but the button pad isn’t as well, but nothing even remotely bad. It has the turn table inside. I love having all the options for softening butter, ice cream, etc...I did not read the whole manual to set the clock and stuff but it is set up with the “quick minute”-meaning when you just press 1, 2, 3, or 4(etc.) it will cook for that many minutes (1=1:00..) It also has a 30sec button. So yes very easy and quick. But you can’t just enter 45sec, you have to first press the power button and then put in the time you want if it not the basic round times of the quick minutes. This feature can be nice but can also be a bit iffy. The power is so strong, I think is 1200w...popcorn that took almost 4m now takes barely 2m. The sensor reheat I like, it has cooked my food evenly and thoroughly but my teenage boys just like using 45secs and get their food reheated. Of course with the boys comes splattered food in a brand new appliance of course. I was able to wipe up spaghetti sauce off of white walls with no staining or residue, nor even a hard cleaner needed! Now we have only had this for about a month with no issues but I expect it to last a few years without losing power or any glitches. I will update my review if I have any issues. I would definitely recommend this and urge you to buy this one or one of similar features instead of the cheap models for $100.

This Sharp - 2.2 Cu. Ft. Full-Size Microwave is the best. It is very large and you can cook multiple things at the same time. I had the exact same model prior, but lightning and a power surge during a storm fried my old one. New one does well. Very well priced at Best Buy. New model has some changes tho. Before you could just punch in time, this one has preset times to use (eg: 1-6 mins), so that isn't the same, but its OK, there is another button to push to go back to just time. I highly recommend this one. It is truly one of the best one's on the market. NO, I'm not paid for this review and NO I didn't get it for free, altho I wish i would have.

Con: loud when in use. Condensate accumulates on door &upper left corner. Need to wipe dry after cooking. Takes up counter space. I put it on a cart.Pro: spacious, easy to clean, 30 sec feature convenient. Display user friendly.

Needed to replace a +25 year old Sharp microwave oven. Checked quite a bit online with every named-branded company before deciding to return to Sharp. We liked the large 2.1 size unit so that was the main criteria. We also liked the "quick keys" for hot beverages and for popcorn. While these 'quick keys" were not a "must-have" it would be a nice extra if the unit we chose would have them. This unit, because it was a Sharp and our last Sharp lasted some 25 years (it still works, but the LED display No longer displays, we have chosen to keep it as a back-up unit or for use by company who would like a microwave in their quest room), the unit's large size and the quick keys, we would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for their first microwave or for a replacement unit. The only negative is the fact that the keypad is not backlit. While our kitchen is by no means dark, it would be nice to be able to use the microwave without having to turn the kitchen lights on to do so. Other than this minor flaw, the unit is excellent and we are looking forward to another twenty-five plus years of service.

This microwave is excellent. It's easy to use on the interface screen as well as it's a huge microwave. It cooks well without any parts of the food not being cooked at the same time, its easy to clean. The price point on this is an excellent price for this microwave.

Easy-to-use microwave straight out of the box. I only have the same complaint most others have...the FEATURES DIAGRAM IS NOT EASILY READ WITHOUT A DECENT LIGHT SOURCE. The panel's background is black and the numbers/words are a pale cream color. This microwave is powerful and I have found the defrost, sensor reheat, and soften time is misleading. These features work quicker than indicated on the diagram. The stainless steel is of good quality and the interior is easy to clean. I WOULD PURCHASE THIS AGAIN WITHOUT HESITATION.

This is a solid microwave with ample capacity and power. It is well designed and easy to use. There are useful software features. The unit appears well constructed, so should last.

I purchased this to update my old microwave. So far, it has been wonderful. Very roomy inside -- deeper than any other I've had prior to this. The ONLY thing that I've noticed is that the door has to be closed by pressing in the middle section of the door, rather than the bottom; otherwise, the door doesn't close at the top. However, it is obvious that the door is not fully closed, when that happens, and you won't be able to turn it on. Once you get used to pressing the door in the middle area, to close it, it is not a problem. The features of the microwave, and the size of it, are such, that this is not a negative for me. I only mention it because if you think this would bug you, then it may not be the microwave for you. Aesthetically, it is a very nice unit.

Stylish and sleek. Accurately and quietly cooks with lots of power. Was a replacement of s 20 year old Sharp. Had it a month and am quite pleased. The only thing is you cannot look for less than 30 seconds.

Clean appearance, spacious and cooks with a lot of power. Heavier than the other microwaves that I picked up. Not sure if that matters. Can't run the timer at the same time you cook. So much for multitasking. This was the best microwave in stock. I would have preferred a Whirlpool or KitchenAid though.

The microwave has a very good appearance, but the quality was wanting and I dislike some of the user interface characteristics. The main quality issue I had was that the door had a difficult time completely latching out of the box and needed to be slammed shut for about the first week or two before the latches wore to allow the door to be shut normally. If the door was not completely latched the interior light would remain illuminated. The user interface is a bit confusing. It requires a person to enter a power setting for any times over 6 minutes before accepting a time entry for cooking. I would prefer having the ability to just enter the time I want and press cook with a default of 100% power and only amend the power setting when needed. This was very confusing for me and I needed to read the manual to figure out this anomaly.

Easy to use. Very powerful. Rotating platter is helping in evenly heating food. Only small wish is a slightly easier to read control panel. But very happy after ~1 month of use.

Microwave works great. Cooks food evenly. Replaced a 15 year old Panasonic that worked flawlessly, but the exterior was showing it's age, along with a rust rung under the carousel wheels. Only one star from 5 for the push buttons being hard to read and the stainless retains fingerprints.

There's a delay when selecting one of the express cook buttons which is annoying. However, basic cooking and defrost settings work great. I will still need some time to learn all the new features. I LOVE the size! I can use a large rectangular glass baking dish and it doesn't get hung up when rotating. This is a big improvement over my previous MW.

I really like this microwave. It has ample capacity to prepare large items. The buttons and controls are very easy to understand and operate. The only thing that lowers this product to a 4star from a 5 star is that the door closes on the bottom and not the top sometimes.

User friendly, not loud, and the inside is not black like so many others. The end beeper keeps on beepin' till you open the door and get your food out. A little annoying but necessary so you don't wake up the next day to food you forgot in your microwave.
