I buy Shell gas almost exclusively and this was a great bargain. I picked this Gift Card up on one of Best Buy's daily deals for only $45. It arrived the very next day and I was able to add this card to my wallet in the Shell App, using the QR code on the back. Once added, it immediately showed the gift card had a $50.00 balance. When I received the card, I noticed that the Pull Tab on the back had been opened, so they activated the card before they shipped it via FedEx. I didn't use the card for over a week after I got it, but it worked perfectly without any problems. When I bought gas, I just used my Shell App and selected the gift card as payment. I especially like that I was able to also take advantage of my Shell Rewards for even more savings. It will work either at the pump or in the store. This was a great bargain and very easy to use and would highly recommend this to anyone. I feel this Gift Card would make a great gift too.

I bought three of these Shell gift cards online and none of these had been activated when I got them in the mail. So basically I got three pieces of plastic with the Shell logo. THANK YOU BEST BUY!!! It was a wonderful experience going to the gas station and trying to pay with the piece of plastic I had just received. I then drove to a Best Buy store where I got zero help! They just gave me a phone number to call. Called it...and of course it was closed since it was a Sunday. Called on Monday and after several hours going back and forth with Best Buy and Shell, I was told the funds would be activated in 24 hours or less. Waited 'till next day, checked balance and nothing! So called Best Buy and after several hours again, they were able to fund 2 out of the 3 gift cards! I had to wait for the third one to get sent to the Best Buy store. This whole experience was frustrating, ridiculous, aggravating!!! I wasted so many hours of my time to resolve this!!!

I checked all my cards after reading other reviews and found that one of mine wasn’t working. When I reviewed the order details, I noticed Best Buy listed the gift card serial numbers there, and the nonworking card only showed a partial serial number. I had to call customer support to get it sorted out, and now I have to drive to a Best Buy store to pick up a replacement because they won’t ship it out. Ironically, I bought Shell gift cards to save on gas, and now I’m wasting gas fixing their mistake. If you order these online, double check that the serial numbers on the cards match what’s listed in your order details before gifting them. My guess is the barcode on one card was only partially scanned during activation, which turned it into my problem to deal with. Very frustrating.

This was a good deal and anybody can use a gas card. But the delivery was pretty slow and I was worried it could get stolen before being delivered. It seems it would be a lot better to have an electronic delivery so it wouldn't have to go through a carrier. Of course I ordered just before Memorial day so it got stuck in the long weekend sitting somewhere.

As a result of receiving these non-activated gift cards, I wasted both time and money driving to a Shell station to redeem them, only to find that they were unusable. I also spent several hours on phone calls and follow-up communications with Best Buy attempting to resolve the issue. I called and spoke to a supervisor, who said the only option he had was to provide a refund. check your gift cards!!!!! my gift card show up in 2 days just try to use it today none of the gift card has any money on them called shell they said the card was never activated, called best buy customer service and they told me go to the local best buy store for a refund by giving the store the case # she created, drove 20 min to bestbuy and they said they can't do any refunds due to their system does not allow refund on gift cards, at the end no one was able to help so out of all the options i had to call my credit card company and file a chargeback to get my $135 back from empty gift cards, what a waste of time.

Bought 3 $50 Shell physical gift cards for $45 each, but all were blank. Order history shows all 3 serial numbers being "DUMMYSERIALNO1234". Wasted hours signing up on buyshellgiftcards.com and encountering errors, talking to Best Buy support who assured me the gift cards were activated, taking to Shell support who said the cards were neither funded nor transacted, and again taking to Best Buy support who offered to replace or refund. Since I have no confidence that replacement will have a positive outcome, I opted for the refund.

Be vigilant when purchasing a giftcard from best buy! The card did not have the funds on it. Fortunately, best buy did refund my money but it was still an ordeal.

Purchased 3 x $50 Shell Gift Cards. Received them a few days later, but was unable to add them to the Shell app or check the balance online. Wasted close to 2 hours with Best Buy online chat and speaking to agents on the phone, each of whom gave me conflicting information - cards were activated, call Shell to get their help to use them, cards were not activated but could be replaced, cards could not be replaced... ultimately I was told the only option was to issue a refund. What a giant waste of time.

DO NOT BUY gift cards from Best Buy. I spent way too much time between customer service and the multiple other numbers they give you to try and activate a physical card that should have been activated when I received it in the mail. Customer service does nothing to try to resolve the issue, instead, they send you to their 3rd partner who handles gift cards. To this day, I have yet to get a refund, do not buy!!!!

I bought a $50 Shell gift card at $45 and thought it was a great deal, but it turned into a very bad decision. I can't use the card at any Shell gas station. It seems the card has no balance. I contact customer services, but they can't help. They told me to send an email to <bestbuygiftcard@cashstar.com>. I sent my email and there is no response after a month. I feel like this is a scam.

I received the gift card and it had $0.00 balance. I had to email customer service to get it activated (which was a pain). Then, customer service was unable to activate. The next step offered was for me to drive to another gas station (using my gas) to request another card. Finally was able to get a refund. Overall it was a total inconvenience and waste of my time.

The gift cards came with 0 balance. There is no information about it when you buy it.

Do not buy gift cards from Best Buy, you have to fight to get them activated, bought 3 Shell $50 gift card and they were ship to us, went to use them and they were not activated and I called Best Buy and they said I need to call Shell, I bought them from Best Buy, so I just lost my money, will not buy gift cards from every again.

DO NOT BUY. What an absolutely miserable experience. They sent 3 unactivated cards that were useless and which were given out as gifts. I then had waste time checking the balances, waste time calling Shell to find that Best Buy never activated them, waste time chatting with Best Buy Support and waste time calling Best Buy Support when the chat couldn't help. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT BUY these cards.

I purchased 2 cards at a discount price of $45. I received them on time but neither card was ativated prior to shipping. I went to the local Best Buy and the store manager refunded the cost of one of the cards through customer support. After two weeks I had to call customer service myself to get refunded for the second card.
