More wiring than I'm used to in a switch box
More wiring than I'm used to in a switch box. The unit defaulted to motor control mode, and it took me a minute to find where to change modes for a simple 2-gang switch, but it worked fine with Home Assistant once I did.

UPDATE YOUR FIRMWARE. Instructions out of date. But stellar as always.
Really good product well made, just hard when you try to use Zigbee since the mode fights AP and that is the best way to configure and setup the device locally. Shelly please put in the instructions to update the firmware. I lost an hour fighting with something that I bet had to do with using factory shipped firmware.

Shelly products are great. They work perfect with the Shelly app, and also integrate with Home Assistant perfectly.

WiFi is much improved, documentation could be better
WiFi is much improved over the Shelly EM. Can connect to access points and connection is more reliable. I use the python built-in "requests" functions to turn switch on/off and to monitor power. Simple protocol to program. The documentation could be clearer. The device ships in "cover mode" and figuring out how to change to "switch mode" was not at all clear.

Device works great
Device works great, and am an overall super happy with it. My only complaint is the UI/UX of the Shelly app, web interface and complicated setup process. I wanted to use the Shelly to control two ceiling lights the living room from HomeKit. It took me 3 attempts and a reset to correctly pair the device and for it to show up correctly.
