    Shelly Plus Wall Dimmer is a next-generation, Wi-Fi-operated, UL-certified wall dimmer relay switch. The device can be used as a standalone unit, an accessory to a home automation controller, or as part of another automation system.

    Easy Use!

    We have this installed in our living room, it’s been one of my favorite Smart upgrades. I like being able to adjust the lighting without having to get up, especially in the evenings when we’re watching TV or winding down. The dimming is smooth and it gives the room a much nicer feel. I definitely buy another one for a different room.

    My favorite light switch by far

    The Shelly dimmer is quickly replacing all the switches in my house. I wish there was a three-way variant. The ability to work with a wide variety of different LED fixtures through a broad range of dimming without any flicker or fuss is fantastic. The Shelly app is also better than pretty much everyone's.

    Good but not perfect

    First the good: Installation was easy, as was integrating with homeassistant. It also worked flawlessly as a dumb dimmer switch without any setup. I do however have some minor gripes, some probably fixable in software, and some hardware related. From a software standpoint, it would be great if I could configure it to turn off all the LEDs (including the brightness setting LED) so that the switch could be completely dark for use in bedrooms. Additionally, It would be nice if it could be configured to toggle on a touch instead of needing to fully press the button. From a hardware standpoint, the main gripes are that the mounting flanges are quite thick when compared to most existing switches so it can be hard to get everything tight enough to the wall for there not to be a gap between the wall and the faceplate. Additionally, the amount of force needed to press the button is quite a bit higher than a traditional switch. The last missing thing is that it would be awesome to have a version with a switch input (like on the Shelly Dimmer Gen4) to link this switch with a second dumb switch for use when there's an existing 2-way switch setup.

    Great dimmer!

    Great device that was very easy to install and setup! Great integration with Home Assistant which a plus as well. The only reason I'm giving it 4/5 is that I would have liked to see more events that I could work with. Ex: double-click and long-press.
