Good quality, solid mic

As advertised - this is the industry-standard workhorse which does a much better job of vocal clarity, especially for singing, than the lower-cost mics (<= $40) from Pyle, Behringer, etc. It is not top-notch vs. more modern mics, based on research, but costs much less than those and has proven staying power.
