A: I use a dell but it should be as long as you have a USB port or Type C Port.
Q: Was wondering if this would fit and work on a alienware 17 inch laptop
A: It probably does, but I bought two, one, the track system would not work anymore, I returned that one, the other one the display stopped working just after 2 months of use!! I do not recommend this product.
