So let's be honest if i could have got the nikon i would have but the price is ridiculous and i have used sigma before and was happy with results. I do find this lens to be a little testy and frustrating because it is constantly focusing on the backround which i never have an issue with when i use my nikon 50mm. It is a nice crisp lens but focusing issues are what make me give it the review i did

This lens is great for the price. Quality is definitely not as good as an original Nikon 24-70mm, which costs more than double the price. I bought the lens for wedding/portrait photography. The focus is a bit slow for me, especially for those moments when I'm trying to capture photos of newly wed couples walking down the aisle. The auto focus also doesn't work as well as I expected in low light setting. However, given my low budget, I'm content with this lens and the results it's giving me. If you have the money, definitely go for the Nikon or Canon version. If you're just looking for a decent product with similar result, this is the lens to buy.

i really love sigma lenses.. I have two now including this one, and have been super happy with both. Only the pickiest pixel peeping pro MIGHT notice a difference from this vs the Nikon version, and the price is a lot more affordable...

Sigma makes good lenses but this is horrible. Maybe 1 out of 100 photos is in focus. The pictures are soft as well. I have tried to make it work but I can't. I only keep it because I didn't return it in time.
