Really solid bench for aa mudroom effect

I bought 2 of these benches for my garage (kinda like a mudroom effect). They are a little hard to put together, and in 2 areas the wood 'split' by using a drill vs. a hand screwdriver. Disappointed but was able to color with a black permanent marker.
