I have Sirius XM in my Chevrolet and the prepaid service cards work out GREAT. I stockpile them in my Sirius online account and when my subscription is up for renewal, I pay for my service using my accumulated balance. Very convenient to have. I order them on Best Buy.com and they come directly to mailbox in a few days.....usually less than a week. I would recommend the prepaid Sirius XM service cards to someone with a new account or someone who is ready to renew their subscription service. They are simple to use:scratch off the special code on the back side and look for Redeem Now in your online account. Great gift idea for the Holidays for any music lover.

Sirius XM is a great product that works surprisingly well in the field. But ... the company's customer relations are abysmal. I have read numerous horror stories about how difficult it is to cancel Sirius XM service. In particular, cancelling a credit card billed account is arduous. Sirius goes out of its way to make this difficult. So what is the solution? Paying for the service with the Prepaid Service Card. They do not have your credit card, and cannot continue billing you after you cancel. IT works, and I should know -- it's how I use the service.

The cards just make sense to take advantage of the omnipresent special offers by Sirius/XM for programming. Late in the day of or the day after your last day of service (they give you a small grace period), call Sirius/XM and tell them you want the (insert latest offering here that you've discovered by researching the net). When they ask you for billing, tell them you'll be using a prepaid card. (Again, you get about 7 days or so grace period.) Run to your local Best Buy, get the card(s), enter the number(s) in to your account and you're done. No auto-bill at max prices. Just make sure to put a reminder on your calendar on the last day of service for the offer so you remember to do it all over again. Remember, research is key. Search for Sirius or XM offers and use the 'within the last month' option on the search site of your choice. Knowledge is power.
