A: Sirius will charge you a fee to license the new radio. Even with 2 lifetime Sirius memberships, we had to pay a hefty fee to activate the new radio.
Q: Speakers ?
A: In order to use it at home, you would need the Onyx Plus radio and the XM Universal Home Kit. The home kit plugs into an existing audio system in your home using RCA or AUX cables. It also comes with a home antenna that needs to be run close to a window, preferably south facing.
Q: can this be used with a bose radio
A: Yes, it merely plugs in to an auxiliary jack on the Bose radio and it has it's own antenna to receive the satellite signal.

A: An antenna is included.
Q: I want to place this in my finished basement. Will I have a signal reception problem?
A: Reception for the receiver is based upon the antenna attached. You would have to place your antenna close to a window to insure the best reception. But, it could still work depending on how much concrete and wall thickness the antenna has to fight to get clear reception.
A: Yes buy a home dock kit and take the SiriusXM Onyx Receiver ( from one of your cars) and plug it into your home dock once you park your car. If your only driving one car at a time, you can just have one subscription and move the Receiver between each of the other docks.
