Deck building rogue-like game. Lots of fun and very addictive. Wasn't sure about it at first, but I'm glad I picked it up

Very fun deck building/dungeon crawling game without much time commitment

Controls on this are fine, though I'd prefer mouse controls honestly. But the game's art style, even if it doesn't grow on you, the game mechanics will win you out in spite of it. There was a lot of care, time and TESTING that went into this game, and you'll go through a journey of faking it until you make it. Lots of gameplay to be found in such a simple package. If you like TCGs/Deckbuilders, give this a shot!

Fun, highly addictive game. If you know how rogue like games are then this should appeal to you if that is your cup of tea. It is a nearly endlessly replayable Indie delight from Mega Crit. Characters change the way you play to keep from getting bored of this right away. My only gripe is the PC version is better in terms of mod-ability. All in all, a great value for my purchase.

The game is fun, but suffers from same major flaws, the game is all about luck, the is no strategy or leveling up elements to make it easier, you just have to hope you get the right cards to win a fight, most of the time you are trying build your defense up, which you don't keep, you lose it on your next turn, the battles are unforgiving especially the boss fights, which are EXTREMELY rigged against you, the bosses have over 300 HP sometimes and you only have around 70 to 80 HP, and they can easily deplete half your health in one turn, I would only recommend this game if you have a lot of patience.

I played it on both the PS4 and Switch. I like the Switch version for it's portability. However, while playing on the television, the PS4 version is the way to go. Why? Because everything is much more clear and sharp, especially the text. Thus, I preferred the PS4 version while playing on the television and Switch version when I was out. Other than that, it was the same game and you can't go wrong with either version.

I first played Slay the Spire through PS+ but realized I enjoyed it so much that I needed a physical copy should I allow my subscription to lapse. I also wanted to support the game studio and publisher. Many heroes, many runs, you learn more each attempt, and enough randomization to make you come back for more. Stunningly terrific.

I can endlessly play this game, and feel content every time, and notice that the losses are (most of the time) my fault. This game has a steep difficulty curve, but it's one of the most rewarding experiences when you can complete a run. The game offers infinite challenges and obstacles for you to overcome, and I will forever recommend this game to everyone.
This is just a wonderful game. I started playing it back when it was early access on PC and was hooked. Later got it on Switch becuase it's kind of the perfect console for this kind of game. Then the game was on sale for under $8 on PS4 so why the hell not. Amazing game. I bought it three times and do not regret it one bit.

If you didn't already know, this is a turn based CARD game. If you were expecting a dungeon crawl rpg experience, this isnt it. BUT, this is an amazing game. I've put about 200 hours into it

I have seen gameplay, and from what I have seen, it looks to be good. Not my particular kind of game, but for the price of $4.99, definitely worth a try.

It’s a good game if you’re into the card deck battle genre. Nothing too exciting though.
