So much smaller than the original contact sensor. This now fits between the door edge and the molding. This is so much closer than the original one we had and also since it works with both V1 and V2 of the Ring door/window sensor it is nice. It is also nice for windows where you want two sensors so that if it is nice out you can use a 2nd one so you can arm the system if the window is open by placing this where it will make it think the window sensor is closed.

Works great. I utilized on door frames because the one that was included with the sensor blocked the door from closing. No issues and working as expected. Wish this was the one that came with sensor to begin with.

I purchased this magnet to replace a missing lost door magnet on my Abode alarm system. It works well, is more compact than the original and functions the same as the original. It's just a magnet that is held on by 2 sided tape. Just stick it on close enough to energize /de-energize the door switch and it works! Has been reliable for about 5 months so far

As a leader in home security, we strive to create user-friendly devices which are simple to work with. The Ring Alarm Slim Magnet is intended to work with narrow door and window frames. This helps when regular sized sensors are difficult to fit on these smaller frames.
If you prefer a larger sensor, you can purchase the Ring Alarm Window and Door Contact Sensor. This device performs the exact same function, but is bigger.
