Set up a dash camera in your vehicle with this Rexing smart hardwire kit. The 13 feet cable easily reaches from the control box to the dashboard, and the mini-USB plug connects into select brand models for seamless power delivery. This Rexing smart hardwire kit features automatic low-voltage protection to help protect your car battery.
A: They do sell the Smart Hardwire kits for these dash cams. I am also wondering if they would hardwire them in after purchase. Kinda sad that BB doesn't monitor these questions.
Q: can the rexing hazard wire kit be used with other brand dash cams/mirror cam?
A: Maybe. It uses micro usb to connect to device. However check for power requirements for your device to see if this will power it. This also uses a standard large blade fuse (ato). I have to splice mine so it uses mini version.
Q: does this work for Toyota Matrix 2003?
A: undefined
A: https://www.rexingusa.com/the-rexing-parking-monitor-the-dash-cam-that-records-even-when-your-vehicle-is-off/ It looks like there is a Hardwire Kit that you have to buy separately. The problem that I see with the description of this hardware kit in the link is that it says that it will stop drawing from the battery after it measures 11.6 volts on the battery. This is not good because what you start your car, especially in very cold weather, like below zero, you want your battery to be at least around 12.4 to 12.7 volts. The description says that you can change the limits but does not say anything other than 11.6 volts. So, I would say that you are fine if you have a GOOD CAR BATTERY, but if you have issues with your battery going dead, I would ether buy a new car battery or get a different dash cam.
