Nice guitar hooks and gritty bass lines

Scottish indie rockers Snow Patrol's Eyes Open is their fourth album and the first to be recognized significantly by U.S. audiences, primarily on the strength of the single "Chasing Cars". This is a nice re-issue of the 2006 release which finds the band at the top of their game. Nathan Connolly and front man Gary Lightbody's songwriting and performance is passionate without being sappy. Nice guitar hooks and gritty bass lines fill in all the right places and spaces making this a must own for anyone enamored with anthemic indie pop-rock.
