I don’t have much else to say about this one, but what you get is a fun Sonic the Hedgehog game with high-speed action and deep lore. This game technically has two games in it: one that is a remaster to Sonic Generations from 2011, and an additional campaign focused on Shadow the Hedgehog with an in-depth character backstory. If you’re fortunate enough to get the Day One Edition, the physical release comes with a Journal booklet from Gerald R., and a limited edition Sonic Adventure Legacy skin voucher. Every physical PS5 release comes with a cool reversible cover art (as shown in the posted pictures) that became my go-to cover art in my bookshelf, making it stand out from the rest. Overall, I’d recommend this to any Sonic the Hedgehog fan that wasn’t able to play the original version, or for a modern Sonic release that’s fun to play with.

My favorite sonic game yet. 2 different play styles. Easier than sonic superstar. Graphics are amazing. Game videos are a nice touch. Can switch character from small to large sonic. A must have. Buy it

I would typically be cautiously optimistic as a sonic fan whenever a new game would be announced. This game however had me hooked the second I saw those trailers as I knew I was gonna have an amazing time playing it in its entirety.

Pre-ordered this when it was announced, and it arrived a day early and in perfect condition! As for the game itself, for $50 it was a LOT better than I had expected! Sonic Generations has been upgraded a LOT for modern consoles and the new Shadow Generations game was surprisingly fun to play, despite having its frustrating moments.

Sonic X Shadow Generation is an incredible game, the switch between Sonic and Shadow gameplay is very different and makes them feel like its own separate game. The Shadow story is also very dark compared to Sonic with some beautiful looking levels escalates the gameplay experience to new heights.

Been quite a while since I enjoyed a Sonic game this much. Shadow's capaign is a fun challenge with a lot of fun in-game collectables. The only thing bringing it down is the mostly same story and gameplay of the original Sonic Generations, but I don't it too much.

Shadow is one of my favorite characters and I enjoyed his role in this game very much. Sonic Generations was great too.

An amazing 3d platformer remastered with a new shadow campaign. 9.2/10

It's Sonic Generations in 60 fps, and an all-new, but shorter Shadow campaign. If you own or played Sonic Generations before, the package is only ok. The Shadow campaign what's new, beside some small script changes. Great game if youve never played either.

I have played sonic generations in the past and have completed it on multiple platforms. It is still a great game to replay, especially with the better frame rate and other slight improvements. The shadow portion of the game takes this game to a different level. Its phenomenal! If you remember playing SA2 (Battle), the moment you start his campaign, it will definitely bring you back and show you how much this improved! Level redesign and its challenges are intriguing. This is definitely for any fans of Sonic/Shadow. You will absolutely love it.

2 excellent games in one excellent package. Remastered version of Sonic Generations plays just as good as it did back then, if you liked it then you’ll probably like it now. It has some unnecessary dialogue changes but nothing game ruining. The Shadow Generations portion definitely the main star of the show, with a new story and fun mechanics that aren’t in original generations. Both games are pretty short but run great and packed with a lot of fun. Definitely recommend if you need your Sonic fix.

I picked this up expecting a quick nostalgia hit, but it honestly exceeded my expectations. The gameplay is smooth, responsive, and surprisingly addictive. It does a great job balancing classic arcade feel with updated graphics and features that keep it from feeling outdated. What really stood out to me is how easy it is to jump in and play, but still challenging enough to keep you coming back. The controls are intuitive, the visuals are vibrant, and the overall experience feels polished. Whether you’re a longtime fan or just looking for something fun and engaging, this is definitely worth it. I’ve already spent more time on it than I planned — always a good sign!

Sonic Generations: I'd been wanting to play the original Generations for a while and see how this 13 year old anniversary title held up. I was usually more comfortable playing the modern Sonic levels but both were fun and had their own charm. There are plenty of branching paths that reward skilled gameplay and there's plenty of replay value. The only real downside was the story being fairly thin, which I knew going in. Otherwise, a fun time. Shadow Generations: I was excited to see what new ideas were explored in Shadow generations after a 13 year gap from the original and it did not disappoint. From the hub world being an explorable 3D space with plenty of collectibles and fun challenges, to the new levels taking advantage of the innovations and experimentation of other titles. As much as I enjoyed the OG title, I think I'll return to Shadow generations even more often. The story this go around was very heartfelt and gave Shadow some nice personal closure. Here's hoping future installments are just as fun. Would happily recommend

Really fun game that's a mix of nostalgic and new. This is a remaster of the original Sonic Generations with a new campaign added as well. The new additions are very polished and the older remastered portions are just as good as you remember. My only complaint is with the shipping. The item arrived in an envelope and the top half of the case was crushed and in pieces. I had to exchange it for another copy at my local Best Buy.

I loved the original Sonic Generations. But with this new remastered version plus the additional new shadow generations makes it even better! The shadow generations is pretty much a new game to go along with sonic generations as there is a good amount of content. Love the story on how it dives deeper into shadow’s tragic past and how he will carry on. The levels are a lot of fun. The remaster of sonic generations was also great making a game that came out in 2011/2012 more polished with rewritten cutscenes!
