This prime lens makes the perfect companion to my Sony A6000. It works great in low light conditions, AF works very fast and accurate. The build quality is great, and the manual focusing ring feels smooth and very responsive. The color rendition and the bokeh from this lens is absolutely beautiful. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is because of the price, I wish it was $100 cheaper. Pros: Size, fast AF, quality Cons: Price

This 35mm lens completely changed the look of my videos. The background blur (bokeh) it creates gives that cinematic, professional touch that instantly elevates the quality of my content. It’s that smooth, soft background separation that makes you look like you’re filming a movie — not just a regular video. What I love most is how sharp the subject stays while the background melts away beautifully. It adds depth, emotion, and a premium feel without needing complicated setups. This is a great prime lens for portraits and mid-range distance shots. I purchased a Sony a6600 recently and I am relatively new to photography. I originally purchased a Sony 50mm without realizing that the a6000 series cameras are built with cropped sensors. So the crop factor is 1.5x, therefore it was a 75mm lens instead of a true 50mm. Well this 35mm lens puts it at 52.5mm which is close enough. It works really well at close range for portraits and when taking pictures of scenery or larger objects. Photographs taken at shorter distance look way better then at a longer distance so I would use this lens for portraits and close ups. This is an ASP-C lens so I would not purchase this if you have a full frame camera. The lens small and lightweight making it great for traveling or if you want a lighter setup. It also works really well in low light but hot here are a few trade offs. You’re going to have to raise the ISO (which adds more grain to the photo) or lower the shutter speed (which tends to make the photos blurry if you don’t have steady hands) I posted some photographs to show what this lens is capable of paired with the a6600 (I edited them in Lightroom after).

This lens is simply amazing! I took it on a trip to Mexico and the pictures quality is so crisp! Def more zoomed in but amazing nonetheless

I decided to go with the 35mm lens over the 50mm. 35 let's you get more in the shot while being closer. I mainly take pictures of my daughter, playing, at Disney or just regular still shots of her posing for me. The light this lens allows in is amazing. I love how much more this lens looks than the lens I got with the camera bundle. Everyone ask what camera I am using. I tell the it's Sony A6000 but I tell them it's the 35mm lens as well.

I purchased this lens to take graduation photo's of my daughter from college. I love this lens with my Sony A6000! The images are crisp and clear giving a beautiful bokeh. The auto-focus can be a little finicky at times, but nothing that can't be overcome. The OSS is outstanding. Feel free to check out my shots on Instagram at marinesdream2018. Perfect for low light footage and headshots this is my go to lens. If you a want perfection look to your videos and photos this is a perfect buy!

The pros of this lens are simple: it's small and compact, light weight, and it has OSS. Attached to my a6400, it's easy to carry around, which makes it great for travel or street photography. The OSS is also great if you plan to video because it stabilizes the video image. The cons of this camera is that it's an old design. It's not as sharp as I'd like it to be and paired with an APS-C sensor, it's actually about 50mm, which is a little tight at times if you're used to shooting with an actual 35mm focal length. But let's compare this lens with its rival, the Sigma 30mm 1.4. The Sigma is a sharper lens, and it's better in low light. However, it's twice the size, it's heavy, and when you travel with the Sigma or even do street photography, you can tell you've got a heavy lens attached to your camera. The Sigma also doesn't have OSS, so your videos will be shaky. Hope this review is helpful. As part of this review, I included a photo I took with this lens on the Sony a6400 in B&W.

I’m just starting to learn how to shoot with different lenses and this is perfect for portraits and creates a nice bokeh! Also great for getting a clear shot of scenery. Very clear and small lens so easy to carry and doesn’t make the camera heavy.

A perfect lens fits your needs and is quality price

This is a sharp lens and is highly reviewed for a reason. I can attest to that. It has been my primary lens for portraits and street photography. I use this lens 90% of the time on my Sony A7ii. It is intended for APS-C but still fits this camera. It won't be 35mm because of the crop factor. There will be no vignette if you set it up on auto crop.

I’m a novice to photography, but this lens makes it look like I know what I’m doing. Excellent for portaits at getting that bokeh. Very easy to just unbox and start shooting for a beginner!

Before purchasing this I got the sigma 19mm and the Sony 50mm and honestly this 35mm is the one that stays on my camera 90% of the time. Very crisp pictures, nice bike.

This was the perfect lens to add to my Sony a6000 camera. The pictures are superb. If you are looking to take pictures with a great field of depth, this is the lens for you. Although it is pricey (it can be more than the camera body itself), it is well worth it.

This lens takes great pictures. Sharp beyond belief. A must for taking pictures indoors. The picture I attached was taken with this lens, indoors and without using a flash. I'm very happy with it.
