Best Modern Direct-Lit LED Television of '26

This is a SUBSTANTIAL upgrade from the 2024 Bravia 3, which felt like a budget model. Despite this being considered entry level (I purchased the 43" version), it feels like an expensive, premium television. The remote feels sleek, the XR processor runs at IMMACULATE speeds, the picture quality is clear, the FOUR 2.1 HDMI ports are PERFECT for numerous consoles, the HDR, VRR, and ALLM gaming features work like a charm, and the Google operating system WITH Gemini is awesome for streaming. Paired with the PlayStation 5, it gives you all the immersion you'll ever need out of your Sony console. Blooming is hardly noticeable despite the lack of local dimming zones. The colors won't pop like an OLED or QLED, yet it manages to do a phenomenal job for vibrant videos and cleans up low bitrate shows. I've been enjoying the additional 5 Sony Pictures Core credits aswell. They managed to put in all the necessary features of a high-end model into a smaller, affordable device. It's perfect for a bedroom, guest room, or a living room! When toggling off ambient light sensor, you get to feel the maximum brightness. The 120hz refresh rate is EXTREMELY noticeable during fast paced games. No complaints thus far.

Remote Glitch

I am pleased with the picture quality, sound, and brightness of the Sony Bravia 3. The remote control worked perfectly for nearly two weeks as I switched from the Sony channels to my Verizon cable channels until now. It takes nearly 5 minutes for my television to turn on. What is the problem? How can this be fixed?

We are so sorry to hear about the long delay you are experiencing when turning on your BRAVIA 3, as we know how frustrating that wait can be after such a great initial experience. To help resolve this, we recommend performing a quick power reset by unplugging the TV's power cord from the wall outlet for two minutes before plugging it back in. Additionally, try temporarily disconnecting your Verizon cable box to check if an HDMI signal handshake is causing the startup lag, and verify that your TV software is up to date in the settings menu. If the slow startup continues, please visit our official Sony Support page at https://www.sony.com/electronics/support so our team can help you resolve this issue.

I really like the picture quality I get from playing on my PS5. Huge upgrade from a 27 inch 4K monitor. I don’t compete in multiplayer games so a small screen wasn’t necessary for me. Sounds good with the speakers it has but I do have a Bose sound bar hooked up to this as well. 4 HDMI ports is wonderful very helpful. The remote control is easy to use. Only real complaint is price. If you can accept the cost of it I would say you’re going to be satisfied if you want to upgrade from a small PC monitor to a bigger TV.

This is my 4th Sony tv purchase and couldn’t be happier. The report seems a little cheaper in quality and makes a loud clicking noise when pressing buttons. The volume has a big jump from lever 4 to 5. Not a big enough issue for me, and I’m still super happy.

A great entry level 120hz TV

I was very excited to see Sony come out with this TV, as I have been in the market for a newer 120hz TV without breaking the bank. Set up was a little frustrating, as the QR code for Google TV did not work, which meant I had to type everything out on the remote. I'm still currently in the "figuring out" phase to see which settings work best for the PS5, DirecTV etc, but I can say the graphics on the PS5 are much smoother. Color on the TV is great, only downside I would say is I don't like the sound quality coming from the TV. Excited to see the TV's full potential as I perfect the settings, but nonetheless a great value for what you're getting.

I love my new Sony Bravia 3-II. Picture quality is very good and second only to an OLED or Mini-LED which would cost almost twice as much. The only area that I found less than stellar was the Google TV interface which I found was good but not quite as user friendly as the FireTV I was using prior to getting this unit (which I is the reason I rated it a 4/5). My TV sits in my office and is exposed to a lot of sunlight. The pricture brightness and the Sony electronics sold me on this set. I definitely would recommend this TV as a good second unit.

Good Price for the Quality

The TV has very bright colors It is best viewed straight on as LED televisions typically appear more faded from side views. The sound is better than a lot of TVs.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great TV! I absolutely love my new Sony BRAVIA 3 II 43" TV. The picture is fantastic! The colors are bright and natural, and everything looks incredibly clear and sharp. The Google TV is very easy to use, and I really like being able to use Gemini to search for things and control the TV with my voice. I also like that it has four HDMI 2.1 ports, which is great for connecting gaming systems and other devices. The sound is also better than I expected for a TV this size. What really stands out to me is how good the picture looks, especially when watching movies and sports. Sony's picture quality and processing really make a difference. For a 43-inch TV, I honestly think this is an excellent value. It looks and performs like a much more expensive television. I highly recommend the Sony BRAVIA 3 II. It's an outstanding TV and definitely gets 5 stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Outstanding tv! Highly impressed with excellent picture, but what surprised me most was the speaker quality & sound. Technology has improved so much since my last purchase. Being flat screen tv”s were unable to lack a great speaker for sound. Highly recommend!

Excellent TV for Watching Sports

I'm very happy with my Sony 43" Bravia 3 II. The picture quality is excellent--bright, sharp, and crisp. Sports especially look fantastic, with vibrant colors and plenty of detail that make watching games really enjoyable. The sound quality is also very good, and I've been impressed with how clear everything sounds. Setup was easy overall, although it did take a little longer than I expected. Once everything was set up, the TV was very easy to use. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

i have to say i was very impressed with this product of how well the product works with my everyday life when it comes to watching movies, gaming, even just putting up demos, it’s a very solid product that provides the perfect balance of color contrast and clarity when it comes to buying tvs and i work at best buy so i know what to buy for tvs and this is best budget tv for a 43” that has a 120hrz panel that can do 4k 120

This model TV has a defect. Sony - 43" BRAVIA 3

I had these problems with this TV and the same model replacement. Both were returned. Screen freezes, very slow remote control response, TV did not turn back on. To fix these issues I had to unplug the TV wait, plug it back in and it would work until it happened again. 3 week nightmare until I purchased the Samsung . Not a single problem with this one. Best Buy customer service was great!
