Sony - 55" Class BRAVIA 8 II OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV (2025)

This is an excellent tv. For health reasons i had to upgrade my tv. The colors are incredibly vibrant, the audio is incredibly clean, and the OLED is brilliant (and much better for my eyes than LED). The 120hz and VRR are brilliant for gaming, i get tons of use from both of those on all 3 current gen consoles. The smart interface is just google play and doesnt try to reincent the wheel, the remote allows you to choose what input the "TV" button goes to and i have had no issues whatsoever with it. I went in planning to get an older model but when i saw this one i knew it was the one i needed. Absolutely recommended. It is compatible with my tsr-700 and has had no issues with anything ive connected to it.

We recently purchased the Sony Bravia 8 (65-inch), and it has exceeded our expectations in every way. The picture quality is absolutely gorgeous — rich colors, deep blacks, and very natural, lifelike detail. Even older shows look noticeably better on this screen. The setup was surprisingly simple, and the interface is clean and intuitive. Switching between apps, streaming, and devices is quick and seamless. The TV is also very responsive, and the remote is easy to navigate. We paired ours with a high-quality soundbar, and together the experience feels like a home theater. Overall, this Sony Bravia 8 has been an excellent upgrade — worth every penny. Highly recommend!

After more than a decade of owning OLED televisions from multiple brands, the Sony K55XR80M2 is the best TV I have ever purchased. Over the last 11 years, I’ve owned four OLED TVs, including another Sony OLED (A80L) that I still think is excellent. This model is noticeably better in several important ways. The first thing that stands out is Sony’s color processing. The color palette on this TV is exceptional, especially skin tones. Faces look natural and lifelike instead of overly red, pale, or artificial. Many TVs can produce bright colors, but very few create an image that consistently feels realistic and pleasant to watch during everyday viewing. Whether watching movies, sports, or streaming series, the picture has a refined, cinematic quality that immediately stands apart from other OLEDs I’ve owned. Black levels are exactly what you want from a premium OLED display: deep, clean, and perfectly controlled. Dark scenes retain detail without looking muddy, and I have not noticed the cloudy artifacts or unevenness that can sometimes appear on lesser panels. Contrast is outstanding, but never harsh or exaggerated. I was also pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. Dialogue is very clear and easy to understand, even at moderate volume levels. For many living rooms, the built-in audio may be good enough that a soundbar is optional rather than mandatory. Another underrated strength is usability. The remote control is simple, intuitive, and refreshingly uncluttered. Sony avoided the mistake of overloading the remote with unnecessary buttons. Setup was straightforward, and day-to-day operation feels polished. I primarily use this TV with an Apple TV connected via HDMI, and the integration has been flawless. The Apple TV remote operates the television seamlessly, including power and volume control, which makes the overall experience very clean and simple for the household. One additional point worth mentioning: this TV performs extremely well in a bright living room. Our room has a large number of windows and significant daytime light, yet the panel remains easy to see with excellent clarity and contrast. That was a major concern before purchasing an OLED, and this Sony exceeded expectations. Overall, this is the most complete television I have owned. Exceptional picture quality, natural colors, perfect blacks, strong sound, excellent brightness handling, and an intuitive user experience make this an easy 5-star recommendation.

Love our Sony 55" BRAVIA 8 II OLED 4K TV!! Could not be happier with the with picture and sound. Also, the glare reduction on the screen is perfect for our home and window glares are no longer seen when the picture is on. Our first larger size TV was a Sony Bravia 20 years. When we wanted to update tried a different brand and was not satisfied. Went back to Sony Bravia and are Sony forever now!

I needed a new TV researched a lot and finally bought this beautiful TV the picture is basically PERFECT. I bought mine at the Tustin location where they have all TV’s displayed very nice so you can judge no matter what brand you’re buying. The sound even without a sound bar is amazing. I can’t imagine what’s it’s going to be like when I do plug my soundbar in and use it
