After more than a decade of owning OLED televisions from multiple brands, the Sony K55XR80M2 is the best TV I have ever purchased. Over the last 11 years, I’ve owned four OLED TVs, including another Sony OLED (A80L) that I still think is excellent. This model is noticeably better in several important ways. The first thing that stands out is Sony’s color processing. The color palette on this TV is exceptional, especially skin tones. Faces look natural and lifelike instead of overly red, pale, or artificial. Many TVs can produce bright colors, but very few create an image that consistently feels realistic and pleasant to watch during everyday viewing. Whether watching movies, sports, or streaming series, the picture has a refined, cinematic quality that immediately stands apart from other OLEDs I’ve owned. Black levels are exactly what you want from a premium OLED display: deep, clean, and perfectly controlled. Dark scenes retain detail without looking muddy, and I have not noticed the cloudy artifacts or unevenness that can sometimes appear on lesser panels. Contrast is outstanding, but never harsh or exaggerated. I was also pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. Dialogue is very clear and easy to understand, even at moderate volume levels. For many living rooms, the built-in audio may be good enough that a soundbar is optional rather than mandatory. Another underrated strength is usability. The remote control is simple, intuitive, and refreshingly uncluttered. Sony avoided the mistake of overloading the remote with unnecessary buttons. Setup was straightforward, and day-to-day operation feels polished. I primarily use this TV with an Apple TV connected via HDMI, and the integration has been flawless. The Apple TV remote operates the television seamlessly, including power and volume control, which makes the overall experience very clean and simple for the household. One additional point worth mentioning: this TV performs extremely well in a bright living room. Our room has a large number of windows and significant daytime light, yet the panel remains easy to see with excellent clarity and contrast. That was a major concern before purchasing an OLED, and this Sony exceeded expectations. Overall, this is the most complete television I have owned. Exceptional picture quality, natural colors, perfect blacks, strong sound, excellent brightness handling, and an intuitive user experience make this an easy 5-star recommendation.

This is an excellent tv. For health reasons i had to upgrade my tv. The colors are incredibly vibrant, the audio is incredibly clean, and the OLED is brilliant (and much better for my eyes than LED). The 120hz and VRR are brilliant for gaming, i get tons of use from both of those on all 3 current gen consoles. The smart interface is just google play and doesnt try to reincent the wheel, the remote allows you to choose what input the "TV" button goes to and i have had no issues whatsoever with it. I went in planning to get an older model but when i saw this one i knew it was the one i needed. Absolutely recommended. It is compatible with my tsr-700 and has had no issues with anything ive connected to it.

We recently purchased the Sony Bravia 8 (65-inch), and it has exceeded our expectations in every way. The picture quality is absolutely gorgeous — rich colors, deep blacks, and very natural, lifelike detail. Even older shows look noticeably better on this screen. The setup was surprisingly simple, and the interface is clean and intuitive. Switching between apps, streaming, and devices is quick and seamless. The TV is also very responsive, and the remote is easy to navigate. We paired ours with a high-quality soundbar, and together the experience feels like a home theater. Overall, this Sony Bravia 8 has been an excellent upgrade — worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Sony never disappoints. This is my first OLED and I chose between the G series LG which is less expensive but with my track record from Sony the Bravia was my choice. Couldn’t be happier with my decision.

The picture doesn't look fake, which is really pleasing. The Colors are vibrant and clear. Very happy with the purchase. We built an entertainment wall to specifically fit the TV and surround sound.

Love our Sony 55" BRAVIA 8 II OLED 4K TV!! Could not be happier with the with picture and sound. Also, the glare reduction on the screen is perfect for our home and window glares are no longer seen when the picture is on. Our first larger size TV was a Sony Bravia 20 years. When we wanted to update tried a different brand and was not satisfied. Went back to Sony Bravia and are Sony forever now!

Sony Bravia 8/2 is the best tv out there now don’t know were to begin with the amazing features this tv has guess the best is how it groups all the free channels in one spot were you never have to look for them there all there it’s amazing how you can watch tv without any subscriptions to anything but the internet . Amazing how good this tv is I’m glad I spent the extra dollars to get it absolutely well worth it.

I needed a new TV researched a lot and finally bought this beautiful TV the picture is basically PERFECT. I bought mine at the Tustin location where they have all TV’s displayed very nice so you can judge no matter what brand you’re buying. The sound even without a sound bar is amazing. I can’t imagine what’s it’s going to be like when I do plug my soundbar in and use it

I got a refurbished version of a Sony 55" Class BRAVIA 8 II OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV. It was listed for $1,100, and I asked the store why over the phone, and they didn't see anything wrong with it. I immediately bought it before they changed the price to one for an "excellent" condition version of the TV. I picked it up and got the 5-year warranty just in case. It took hours before I finally realized why it was marked down, but it was so minor that it didn't make a difference in me wanting to keep the TV. I could have gotten an LG C5 or Samsung, but for the price I paid, this TV was light-years better than I could have anticipated owning. The processor is better than the one I had with my LG CX and feels very premium. If you don't like it being so "4K," switch to Cinema, and it still pops without the sensory overload. Even at face value, I highly recommend this Sony TV.

I didn't think there was life after Plasma... however my new BRAVIA 8 ll OLED has won me over big time! Johnie the Geek Squad technician took the time to set it up and explain the technology so I could enjoy watching right away.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!! Clarity is so freaking clear, especially watching football in 4K makes it feel like I’m at the game in person.

Did not believe this is possible, but I cannot watch the TV in vivid mode?! Well, I can..:-) But, yeah, it's that bright and clear, and once you get into the 4K and higher streaming shows/videos, you can really understand the quality. The default watching modes are very good; the remote control is very nice and easy to handle. The sound is very crisp. Overall, better than I expected. The TV is super slim and light; as for the OS, that is Google, so cannot really comment.

We love our new Sony - 55" Class BRAVIA 8 II OLED 4K UHD TV! We previously had a 10-year old Sony Bravia TV that was still a good quality TV and works perfectly fine. But we decided it was time to upgrade and are so impressed with the new TV in quality of picture (color saturation, crisp and sharp images) and sound is especially impressive—very rich tones. It was easy to set up. We use Xfinity/Comcast cable and tried using their 4K cable box but it is such cheap junk, we couldn’t get it to work so we are using the regular cable box. I would love to get rid of cable completely but my husband is reluctant. Most all of the channels are very nice on the new TV. I researched and read many articles online and they all said if you can afford it, get a Sony and they are so right! We did get this on sale but still a lot for an TV but if this lasts the 10+ years like our previous Sony TV (which is STILL in perfect working condition), it’s worth every penny!

I’m really happy with this TV. The picture on the Sony BRAVIA 8 II OLED is beautiful — deep blacks, great color, and everything just looks sharp and natural. Movies and shows look amazing, and even regular streaming looks better than I expected. The sound is also surprisingly good. I thought I’d want a soundbar right away, but honestly the built-in audio is more than fine. The remote is another plus. It’s simple, easy to use, and doesn’t feel cluttered. Google TV runs smoothly and setup was quick. I also want to mention the staff at Best Buy. I was pretty overwhelmed trying to pick the right TV, and having someone knowledgeable walk me through the options and help me choose what actually fit my home was a huge relief. That made the whole process a lot easier—the Google TV app. works seamlessly. I am looking forward to casting photos and sharing them with family and friends on the 55" screen! Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase and have zero regrets. This is a great TV and I’m glad I went with it.

Great Picture. Rated King of TVs! Great picture, The best for streaming services, and Blu Ray discs. Only down sides are the 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs that have a max refresh rate of 120hz, and the wide dimensions needed for the stand.

It’s by far the best TV I have ever seen, the picture quality is amazing and the brightness lights up my entire living room, I have been a TV repairman since the late sixties, I sold Sony products for many years and still use my Beta VCR, you get what you pay for and this was worth every cent, Thank You. The picture qualities out of this world I feel like I could see every detail and the movies and TV show shows we watch here. The sun quality is great too.
