The best tv purchase before 2025

This is my upgrade tv since my sony x-900h model and its an absolutely stunning picture ive seen for a new tv. Between the Bravia 9 and this i believe the sony Bravia 7 is the better choice than the 9 for better dark details and movie watchers in cinema mode and if your considering something besides OLED, MINI LED is the next best thing in this competition of tv brands and not to mention the colors definitely pop and contrast MUST BUY

Our son bought this Sony BRAVIA 7 for us after our faithful Sony from 2010 TV was accidentally damaged while we were painting our home. We honestly didn’t realize how much TV technology had improved over the years until we set this one up. The picture quality is incredible—bright, crisp, and full of vibrant colors. Movies, sports, and even regular TV look amazing. The sound is much better than we expected, and the Google TV interface is easy to navigate. Coming from a TV that lasted over 15 years, we were hoping for something that would serve us just as well. So far, this Sony has exceeded our expectations. It feels like a premium TV, and we’re very grateful our son chose this one for us. If you’re looking for a beautiful, easy-to-use TV with outstanding picture quality, we highly recommend the Sony BRAVIA 7.

We are so glad to hear that upgrading from your old faithful Sony to the BRAVIA 7 has been such an impressive leap forward. It is awesome to know that the bright picture, vibrant colors, and easy-to-navigate Google TV interface are hitting the mark for you and your family, and we are especially grateful to your son for choosing it to replace your setup.

Great picture quality even viewing at an angle

I got the Bravia 7 TV with the Sony HT-A3000 soundbar and SA-SW3 subwoofer as a bundle so I got a very good deal. About a month later the price of the TV decreased by $100. I got it price matched and was refunded $100. That's what I love about Best Buy. Bravia 7’s picture quality is incredible. It's so bright and sharp. My only complaint is that local dimming makes some scenes so dark it's hard to see the details. It can be remedied though by fine tuning the brightness. A lot of reviews say the viewing angle is disappointing but I watch from an angle all the time and it's not a problem at all. Definitely get the soundbar and subwoofer. This soundbar makes dialogue very clear. The Google TV interface is very easy to set up and use. I’m very happy I got this setup.

We got this TV for under $1,300.00 and it is hands down one of the best TVs i have ever owned. For a mini LED, the picture quality is unreal. It works flawlessly with my PS5 and the OS is so much, but more responsive than Samsung's Tizen OS. Now, I wish the TV had four HDMI 2.1 ports and the glare and off angle viewing could be improved, but it's not as bad as some reviewers have made it out to be. Sound quality it good, but I'll continue to use my soundbar for the foreseeable future.

We listened to the employee who recommended us to get this Bravia 7 instead of Bravia 8 due to its brightness while the picture quality and the deep blacks are the same. We were so glad we did. We mostly watch in the evening and it's great to see the level of detail. Sound quality was great, we ended up not installing our sound bar.

[Employee of bestbuy] Upgraded from my 950G. The picture quality has improved since the previous generation as well as the standard speakers. Thoroughly pleased with this TV. The only "con" I have is Sony has kind of made it that you want to mess with the seetings you have to do a little more digging around to get where you want to get. And i miss the full aize remote. However my 950G remote qorks with it... So im happy.

Great TV and value
Nature4k Posted
This 65" Bravia 7 replaced a Sony X90CH and it's a big step up in terms of brightness and picture quality. My Sony tv's have all had pleasing, attractive pictures across inputs and this one is just better at all of it and the dimming zones have noticably reduced blooming. The TV is mounted in front of seating for it, so I can't comment on wide viewing angles which are apparently an issue for some but it's a great tv that benefits being priced below the 9, with a wonderful picture for the money. Also, wifi 6 on this one has meant I have seen higher speeds and reliability over a mesh network mostly serving gig fiber to older devices.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with the 65" Bravia 7, Nature4k. We're thrilled to hear that the upgrade from your X90CH has been such a noticeable step up, especially in brightness, picture quality, and the performance of the dimming zones. It's great to know that the enhancements to local dimming are making a real difference in reducing blooming for you.
We appreciate your ongoing loyalty to Sony TVs and are glad to hear that the Bravia 7 continues to deliver pleasing visuals across all inputs. The feedback on WiFi 6 connectivity is especially helpful—reliable, faster speeds can be a real game-changer for streaming and smart features.
Your mention of the TV's value, positioned below the Bravia 9, reinforces our goal to offer outstanding picture quality and technology at a competitive price point. Thank you for noting the viewing angle consideration as well; it's always valuable insight for other customers.
We're grateful you took the time to share such detailed feedback. Enjoy your new Bravia 7 and all the benefits it brings to your home entertainment!

Best and brightest tv I've ever owned
Javier559 Posted
This TV is amazing. I'm coming from Samsung but the screen looks so clear with the stock settings and even better if you calibrate it. The Google TV software works really good and the new update just enhanced it so much better. The speakers aren't to bad good enough but if your an audio geek you might want to invest into surround sound system. This is the brightest TV I've even owned I had to turn it down at night but in the day it's perfect for bright room. All in all I give it a 9/10 due to speakers but do recommend it.

We bought this tv to replace our old Sony. The picture is crisp and there is definite improvement from the tv speakers compare to the old one. It’s always a bit of a pain to set up the smart tv, compared to the plug and play, but we just followed the steps and now were lovin’ it.

Hi JacobC,
We are truly heartened to learn that you are enjoying the sharp, crystal-clear picture quality of your new BRAVIA 7. We aim to provide a visual experience that is second to none, though we certainly understand how frustrating it is when connectivity issues stand in the way of your favorite content.
Regarding the Wi-Fi connection: Since your BRAVIA 7 connects successfully to a mobile hotspot, it confirms the TV’s hardware is working perfectly. This typically points to a configuration setting within the Xfinity gateway. Often, these routers use "Smart Connect" to merge 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, which can sometimes confuse high-end hardware. We recommend checking if your router's firewall or MAC filtering is inadvertently blocking the TV, or attempting to assign the TV a Static IP through your router settings to ensure a stable handshake.
Thank you for trusting Sony to bring world-class entertainment into your home.
