This is going to be a long review as I want to be as honest and comprehensive as possible. I bought this tv primarily for PC gaming and casual streaming. My reasoning to buy a Sony tv was due to good past experiences with this brand having a 2006 model year KDL-V40XBR1 tv that still works, sounds, and looks great to this day (2024). I chose an lcd tv over an arguably better and cheaper OLED counterpart for peace of mind as the pc icons will not burn into the tv display. I know Best Buy has a warranty that will cover burn in but I do not want to get stuck in that cycle of unplugging my old tv and trading it in and re plugging it in ect, causing more inconvenience and E-Waste than necessary. The tv while not the brightest in the industry is very bright and I typically keep it at 30 of 50 brightness in a mildly bright room with the ambient light detection on. The screen has excellent light rejection in bright rooms with very little glare if even noticeable. In my opinion the dynamic backlight while far from bad could be just a hair better but maybe I’m over scrutinizing it as no one else has complained about it. This tv has excellent naturally looking color and contrast reproduction thanks to a Tri Luminous PRO display and XR Engine. The Tri Luminous Pro Display is on par with the best Quantum Dot enhanced tvs and the XR image processing has to be the best in the industry in regards to blur reduction, noise reduction, and upscaling. HDR and 4K content look fantastic but sub 720p content while not bad can look rather plain so a good video source is recommended. I know it may be obvious but to less tech savvy people it may come as a surprise as the processor while very good cannot make miracles. Text on the screen, the mouse cursor, and aiming reticle in games at about 16ft are easy to see even with standard settings which was a surprise. The tv features great sound quality with Dolby atmos and a 60w output out of rear firing speakers with auto calibration I don’t think most people will feel the need for a sound bar which is nice this day in age. I’m not a fan of the Google TV Operating System and menu / setting layouts but I do like the convenience features provided by the OS. I like the apps, built-in chrome cast, and AirPlay. I like the Living Decor feature which is kind of like a screen saver with changing Hi-Res photos and or music in the background it makes whatever room you put it in more lively. It features Bluetooth 4.2, 5G WiFi, and Ethernet connectivity. It has HDCP 2.3 capability for HDMI connections 1-4 and VRR for Ports 3&4. I wish it had 1 more eARC and 1 more 144Hz hdmi port but I’ll just buy a hub in the future. This is not a tv you want to be moving around as it feels unwieldy while moving in an attempt to not touch the screen and weighing at what feels like 70lbs. I recommend a helping hand it’s simply easier. The only real thing I don’t like is the remote it feels like my portable epson laser projector remote in a way. I really wish it had more wight to it or had backlit or better feeling buttons as it feels a bit inadequate for this tv but it’s not a deal breaker I suppose. In conclusion if you’re looking for a tv to use as a monitor, for gaming, sports, and streaming. This tv deserves your attention it is very well rounded in every sector. I recommend the OLED counterpart for you if you’re primarily watching movies due to OLEDS perfect black contrast ratio and the low risk of burn in with that type of content. I added display quality photos from Tourister’s YouTube video titled “capri, Italy - summer 2022 - 4K 60fps HDR walking tour” playback is from a PC, brightness is at 30 of 50 taken with an iPhone 14Pro with no adjustments in a dimm room (morning).

Mesmerized by the picture quality and ease in set

My search was to find a TV suitable for a bright room. Set was incredibly user friendly and easy to set up. Picture quality is amazing, the screensaver photos are breathtakingly stunning, I could sit and watch them. During movies you feel like you are literally there in person. Highly recommended, very happy with my purchase! Attached are pictures captured during the day and at night.

Sony Tvs are the Best Tvs on the Market.

The title says it all. Coming from a Sony 3D 1080p Tv model #KDL60W850B a 2014 model. The 850B is still going 10+years and no signs of any issues (knock on wood) and the picture quality is beautiful. I have used Samsung tv, Sharp Tvs, Toshiba tv, Panasonic tv, but none of these brand can match Sony's build quality and picture quality and most important reliability. Now to the Sony 65" X93L the build quality is what you expect from Sony if you are used to products from sony. The build quality is very good. It is lighter than my 60" 850B even with X93L having a bigger screen. The brightness of X93L is super bright at max brightness. The picture quality is on another level compared to my old Sony 850B. 4k HDR content on the X93L is Jaw dropping especially when watching content on sony pictures app. Can't wait to try 4k hdr content on blu-ray. You can't go wrong with Sony TV. Adding pictures 1 pic 850B 2nd pic is X93L.

Great investment- ZERO regrets

Ran the risk of purchasing this tv as an open box item and I have ZERO regrets. Set up for a non techy person such as myself was a breeze. Picture quality is amazing! The area in my living where this tv is placed, there are two very large picture windows. No matter which side of the room where I place the tv, it will get direct sunlight and potential glare. This tv solved that issue for me, no more worry about placement or glare because of the mini led! I loved that I didn’t have to replace my tv stand. I went from a 55” to this 65” and the ability to change the legs from the outside edges to the inner part of the tv was a life saver! Sound quality is very very good, even without a sound bar. The graphics can keep up with my daughter’s new PS5 as well, and she is having a blast playing 2 on this tv. Purchase, you will have no regrets!

Amazing Picture on the 65" Bravia

This TV is amazing! We went from an LG that had a really nice picture too but started banding. And we are so impressed with this one. It has an incredible picture quality with brilliant colors and vivid contrasts. You see things in dark scenes that never showed up on the old one. The picture is so clear in both bright daylight (we have a lot of in windows on side walls) and in darkness at night. We are so impressed with the picture that even after two months with the TV we are still commenting on how awestruck we are with the vibrant and clear the picture. It's so realistic that it feels like you stepped right into the scene. I highly recommend this TV!

Sony hits a home run!!

This a fantastic LED tv. It is great for a bright room. I have it in my living room with 4 windows and entry door and line of sight to a dining room window. It gets bright enough to handle the light from all the windows. The colors out of the box (on vivid) are great and even at night time it is an awesome display. Additionally some of the best speakers I have experienced on a wall mounted tv.

Great 65 inch for bright room

Great TV. Best picture quality Ive experienced. Google tv interface is easy to use and snappy with built in apps. Atsc 3.0 tuner built in, sound is best ive heard for tv speakers and is easy to customize. Works great in our bright living room with home theater pc, sony 4k blu ray player and game console. Only complaints arr that not all 4 hdmi ports are 120hz, 2.1 standard, and the remote has no back lighting, but i have no regrets. Deliberately showing glare from directly behind in my pic.

We love the Sony Bravia tvs! This is our 2nd, an upgrade, and the color is amazing! The picture is really clear and the colors are vibrant. There is a screen saver with beautiful photos of landscapes and they progress from day to night or from cloudy to sunny. Thephotos I have added are from the screen saver. It also comes with Bravia Core with 5 credits for free movies! Gage was very helpful in our decision to choose this model.

Excellent picture out of the box. Great contrast, vibrant colors. Nice, natural looking blacks. There's a bit of motion judder, which I thought wouldn't be an issue on this set, but I can live with it. There's some speaker distortion occasionally when a high frequency sound comes on suddenly. Hopefully, that proves an abbaration.

Great tv. Was super easy to set up and works great in my family room, which is pretty bright. Love the larger screen. Install was easier with a second person, I’d recommend the Sony branded wall bracket for this as well. Very low profile and allows you to pivot the tv as well as move it away from the wall to make your connections.

Good price at $1599. All the features for gaming that take full advantage of PS5 and Xbox Series X. The OS is snappy and smooth. Imax mode is a nice feature also for watching movies thru the sony bravia core app. Super bright. Mini Led is the way to go.

Beautiful picture, plenty bright with excellent contrast, very slight bluming. Audio is good, but wish Sony optical output volume could be controlled thru remote, could not get HDMI earc to work with a Vizio soundbar after a update? LG TV's have better sound options. Steaming thru a NAS works but is slow interface. Would recommend.

Beautiful picture. Excellent sound no need for sound bar. No problem with daytime viewing in a bright location. Easy to use remote. I expect this Sony to perform well over time. Very pleased.

TV picture is sharp and bright. Love not needing to worry about burn in vs OLED. All great stuff, but, honestly its the sound I'm most impressed with. Its rich, warm, and plenty loud. Its annoying spending good money on a TV and needing a soundbar or separate audio setup to better hear the TV. Not so with this unit. Thank you Sony, for spending the time/money in the built in audio on this. Looking forward to even better results on future models!

Great 65 inch 4k TV if you can get 4k signal

We love the TV - spectacular picture using a ROKU stick+. Had not intended to buy one. Assumed our Spectrum cable TV and DVR would deliver 4k programming. Wrong. Had to buy a ROKU to stream Spectrum’s 4k programs. It is superior to our 12 year old 55” Sony but lost 3D capability. Also bought a Sony soundbar with the TV, but Geek Squad advised us we could not use with Beltone device that streams TV sound to hearing aids. Sharing this to alert fellow hearing impaired. The sound from TV itself is great per wife.

I upgraded from an old Samsung LED TV and this Sony TV has all the features I was looking for in a newer TV. The picture quality is phenomenal, the sound is great without a soundbar. I paired it with my Bose ultra soundbar and it’s a huge upgrade! Obviously Sony is still making the best TVs in the market. You get what you pay for with Sony.

A truly great TV. Picture quality is great, day time viewing is amazing with no glares at all. I love this TV for all the sci-fi movies I watch, this TV brings out every directors dream. Also you don't need a soundbar with this TV, sound is great unlike some of its competitors. I highly recommend this TV to anyone in the market.
