Unparalleled when paired up with hta-7000 sounbar
Looks and feels premium. Does not wobbel as much as I expected. Viewing angles as good as it gets, as I could not see a difference from viewing head on or at an extreme angle. Great 1080p upscaling, it looks almost as good as 4k. Best internal speakers I heard that includes some punchy base and gets pretty loud. Great UI layout and very fast processor. This version tv can act as a dedicated center channel for a sony Soundbar. I purchased the Sony hta7000 Soundbar with this TV. The UI menus for the TV and the Soundbar can be controlled with just the TV remote so no need for 2 remotes. The Soundbar operation can be fully controlled with the TV remote. TV is very bright and handles glare as best as I have seen. I came from an Older 1080p plasma with glass screen and it required to be swiveled to combat glare from windows and lights in the living room. This TV does not require me to swivel it to avoid glare. TV switches modes, apps, and inputs almost instantly. TV also boots up fast. The stands are metal and have two heights. I placed the stand in the high position to but up the hta7000 Soundbar against the front of it without interfering with the screen. Now for some negatives. There are too many picture calibration choices. I just left them to default after playing with it. There are some bugs that I noticed, like when going into settings menu it actually puts you into the home page. You have to sign into your Google account to unlock more apps, which I did not prefer to do. All apps should have been available in the menus but I guess this is the contract Google for on sony. The remote is too narrow which makes the directional ring and enter button less user friendly to use. My older plasma still had better picture quality because of the better black levels that plasma creates but I had to go led screen to combat glare due to windows in the room. The physical button on the TV itself to operate it is on the left side and hidden. There is only one button to turn it on and control basic sound and input options. The button is not even directional which requires pressing and holding to make an adjustment, so it is not user friendly and forces your to really be reliant on the remote. Remote is not Backlit.

Amazing TB
Love this TV. Been having it for quite sometime and still to this day I have not been able to compare other TVs. The quality when watching movies is stupendous. I feel like I’m in a movie theater. When gaming, even tho it is a big TV the megapixels work nicely and you can see the quality day or night. God Of War on the PS5 and this TV was a great set up.

Stunning Bright Picture With The Best Process
I love Sony TVs. Purchased many over the past few years. This X95J replaced my epic X900F in my living room, which honestly I didn’t think the upgrade would be worth it. I also purchased last years X950H in a 55” as well and didn’t think this years upgrade would be worth it. Pros: The new XR processor is amazing! I watch a lot of cable TV and nothing can take a poor image and make it look amazing like this X95J. For an LCD, how can the blacks get so black? In letterbox the blacks are aligned with an OLED. And I own a LG GX. Gets very bright! I watch everything in vivid mode and just unreal. Even has a Netflix Mode setting, if enabled, the color and brightness will adjust based on the directors idea design for that movie Cons: Horrible screen reflections! If you have a brighter room, this is not the TV for you. Natural sunlight and lamps will cause a rainbow beam. Unfortunately for me, the reflection issue is causing me to return the TV. I assumed if last years X950H did well, this one would also. If you also have your TV next to giant windows, the Sony X90J or A80J/A90J work perfectly. I’m not knocking any stars for the reflection issue as all the high-end LCD TVs from Samsung and LG have the same problem. If your worried about reflection, I highly recommend taking a flashlight with you to Best Buy and shine the light on the screens to see if you will have a problem with the rainbow issue. If I was smart I would swap my LG OLED to my living room and the X95J to my loft and problem would be solved. I just can’t chance the burn-in with the kids always pausing the TV or extended usage with an OLED. I will be swapping the X95J with the Samsung QN90A as it did a little better with the flashlight test.

Happy and surprised
I've installed whole house and business audio and video systems, theater systems and automation, for many years. The image is very nice on this model. It was on sale, so couldn't beat the price at the time. The color and blacks are well balanced and defined. The user menus are simple for those not into technology. I bought this TV because I recently moved into the country area from big city life and decided to treat myself with an upgrade from my current LG 55". We never got cable TV here and decided to just go with the internet based TV, such as Netflix and also used an external TV antenna to pickup an additional 20 plus stations. I was surprised to see that there's a guide button that actually worked for antenna open air broadcast. It looked just like a cable/satellite guide, giving you all the times, shows going on at that time and in future. It also allows you to search in categories, like movies and comedy for antenna. Although I'm connecting it to a surround sound system, the speakers on this thin TV are pretty impressive sounding. Especially since they are pretty small. They go up to a decent, clear level and have a good voice tone to them. The TV also gives you the option of using a preamp output of your surround sound receiver and connect it to a speaker input of the TV, which allows you to use the built-in speakers as a center channel, for those who don't want a speaker resting on their mantel if mounting above a fireplace. It is already setup with all the apps you could probably want and the remote allows you to talk into it for control and for searching. I'm pleasantly surprised to say the least. Especially for the cost, which although isn't super cheap, but when compared to other TV's of same options and image, it was a bargain.
