We felt pretty impressed with the 65" Sony X95K Mini LED Google TV in the store, even though it was sitting next to the Sony A80K OLED TV. However, the picture color was slightly off due to the backlights of the display. However, we went ahead and bought this due to the overall brightness of the display, because we didn't think that an OLED would be quite bright enough and they are usually much higher in price for a Sony. We wanted to stay with Sony, as all of our longest lasting TVs have been Sony TVs. We were buying this one to take the spot of a 46" 2010 3D Sony TV that still works and has an amazing picture for older technology. We spent quite a bit of time in the store comparing picture quality and brightness on a lot of TVs, including TCL, Hisense, LG and Samsung models. And we were pretty happy with our purchase when we got it home. We thought the picture was stunning. The setup with a Sony AVR and a Playstation was seamless. The TV knew what devices were connected and was able to control the power on those devices easily. We did not hook it up to the internet to set up Google TV so I can't actually comment on that function. I messed with all of the settings and we tested a Playstation on it, which the processor seemed to handle well when using the VRR function. We watched some 4K movies to test the picture. Due to the backlighting, even though the full array zone dimming is used, we saw considerable blooming around bright images. There are many reviewers that I watched or read their reviews who said that blooming was minimal. Personally, I think that is compared to something light the Sony X90K or even the lower model. In the store the 85" model of the X95K looks nice and bright and awesome! However, I found out that the display on that size is actually different material than the 65 and 75" models of the X95K. The other thing that we started to notice was the effect that the anti-reflective coating had on the picture when viewing. I shined my LED light from my phone on the screen and a line of rainbow colors stretched all the way across the screen diagonally from left to right. The overhead light in the room also created lines of rainbow colors that stretched across the screen. One thing that got our attention was that the TV picked up kitchen lights that were not even in the reflection while we were watching TV. The TV stretched white stripes diagonally across the bottom of the TV as it was picking up the kitchen lights somehow. Then my wife sat in the chair to the left of the TV and said she was seeing rainbows from that angle. I walked over and looked and the TV was putting rainbow reflections over the picture from the living room window and also the back door. We decided that the effect of the anti glare coating was too much for us to ignore and we returned the TV, exchanging it for the 65" Sony A80K OLED. While the picture seems to have quite a bit going for it, we thought there was a little too much blooming, as well as the vignetting in the four corners of the display - which we have with all of our other previously owned Sony TVs. The overall TV was not enough to overcome the shortcomings of the anti-reflective coating. If you are looking for a new Sony TV, I would recommend the A80K if you can afford it and get your hands on one.

The Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA XR X95K 4K HDR Mini LED Google TV is an amazing TV. I am very impressed with the pictre quality. We purchased this TV because it is in a bright florida room during the day. The salesman was very knowledgeable about my options and this TV has adaptive qualities to deal with the bright light from full sized sliding doors facing the West. And also the reflective qualities of the glass that are more antiglare than some of the competitors. I am very happy with our purchace and am enjoying our at home theater experience. I dobwish the remote came with a backlight for nightime TV watching. I think it is a fopaux on sony to make you buy an upgraded romote for $50 on a $2000 purchace to have this feature.

Tv is bright some have said that could be compared to Z9j. I had to turn down the brightness a little. Panal quality mine had no dirty screen affect very fine picture out of the box. Turn off motion processing leave on standard mode turn down brightness and turn off the eco room sensor. Construction of tv very solid. Its kind of heavy mine is the 65 inch. Stand has 3 different configurations. I would recommend this tv.

Upgraded to the XR65-95K mini led from a Sony X800G. Night and day difference but obviously at a higher cost. But definitely worth it. Bright, vivid and accurate colors. Great clear picture, great contrast and deep blacks. I decided not to go Oled because we watch a lot of content that could potentially cause burn in. But this TV after looking at both in person is as close as you will get to Oled with an LED TV. There is minimal blooming but I’ve only noticed it with a pure black background and large bright white subtitles (which is not a problem for me as I don’t generally don’t watch movies with subtitles). For general everyday content cable/Blu-ray/4k it’s not noticeable after tweaking the settings except for the above mentioned scenario. Playback from my Sony UBP-X800M2 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray player is excellent! I only give it 4 stars due to the fact of the remote is almost to simplistic, lacks certain obvious buttons and has no backlighting. And I’m curious to see the longevity and durability of these new tvs. Nothing seems to last like it use to due to all the new tech/software/chips/processors ect. Hope I’m wrong and it last a long time. Really great picture and got on sale for a decent price ($1999) and did talk myself into the 5 year warranty just in case. These “smart” tvs will be just like computers and phones now. 3-5 years and you will need newer version anyway to enjoy the latest technology ect. This is our 4th Sony TV and all have been great so far and I prefer their more natural color palette and their picture processing & motion can’t be beat imo. Great reflection handling also. Cannot review the speakers as I’m running everything via ARC through my receiver and 5.1 surround sound leaker system.

I have no complaints regarding this television. Its a size upgrade for me, it has great color, great veiwing angles, and connected with my sound system to provide a great sound experience as well. Honestly just a great overall experience with a strong upscaling processer. Movies, tv, games all look great on this screen.
