    SONY + OLED = AMAZING!

Sony has proven to maximize oled panels. So much detail In every image, fantastic brightness and color! Gaming Is on a next level! Unfortunately the acustic surface audio lacks any punch & the ATSC 3.0 tuner has issues on some channels, which drops the rating to 4 out of 5.

Sony Bravia 77inch X8 oled tv

The sony bravia 77inch OLED tv is simply incredible beautiful and in it's own class. I purchased this for my birthday gift to myself. I replaced my samsung 65inch. And I wanted a upgrade for my basement man cave. To watch movies and of course sports. I couldn't be more satisfied with the realistic colors and sharpness and brightness sound built in by sony. But I use the TV for my center sound with my JBL 3.1 soundbar and 10inch subwoofer. Plus my sony X800 Ultra HD dvd player. Together produces great picture and sound unprecedented for me. I would recommend having your tv and soundbar mounted to your wall for better visibility and sound. Simply put if your looking for a high-end great TV by sony oled. And add a sound system or a sound bar with a subwoofer to complete your. Purchase and be sure you get professional bestbuy geek squad to install it for you. Sony the one and only!

    77 in Sony Bravia

Purchased for my living room, mounted on a new TV wall with fireplace. Picture is great, the area is a little dark so still finding perfect picture. Sound is more than enough without a sound bar. Very happy with purchase, size is awesomeness.

    Worthy upgrade

I recently purchased the 77-inch Sony Bravia TV, and I couldn't be happier with it. The build quality is outstanding — solid, sleek, and clearly made with attention to detail. The display is stunning with vibrant colors, deep blacks, and sharp clarity that really brings content to life. What I love most is how user-friendly the interface is. Navigating through apps and settings is smooth and intuitive, making the whole experience enjoyable right out of the box. Paired with my Sony soundbar, the audio-visual experience is incredible — like having a mini theater at home. I've been a loyal Sony user since 1994. Based on that experience, I’m confident this new Bravia will be just as reliable and long-lasting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a premium home entertainment upgrade!

We Love our 77" Bravia TV

We absolutely love our 77" Bravia TV! The picture quality is stunning colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and everything looks incredibly sharp and lifelike. The sound is impressive, but when paired with a sound system it truly feels like a theater experience at home. Setup was easy, the interface is smooth and user-friendly, and streaming is seamless. Movies, sports, and shows all look amazing on this screen. We couldn’t be happier with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium large-screen TV.

Questions & Answers

  • What is the difference in a 8 or 8B

Hi MC, The XR8B is a retailer-exclusive version of the standard BRAVIA 8 OLED TV, designed to offer a similar core picture and performance at a potentially more accessible price point. Both share the same OLED panel and powerful XR Processor for incredible deep blacks and stunning 4K clarity. The main differences are that the XR8B typically excludes the bundled Sony Pictures Core movie credit promotion and may not feature the advanced XR Contrast Booster processing, which fine-tunes brightness for peak contrast. It's a fantastic option if you prioritize OLED picture quality and savings over those specific features. Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab

  • I currently run my Samsung 1080 plasma through my 2016 Onkyo TX-RZ 800 avr with a great picture. Problem is it only supports 4k@60Hz. If I buy a XR8B, should I avoid running it through the avr? A new avr is a few years down the road Thanks' JimB

Thanks for contacting Sony, JimB. The BRAVIA 8 has HDMI 2.1 ports that are designed to handle high-bandwidth signals like 4K@60Hz. For audio, you can simply connect the TV to your Onkyo receiver using a single HDMI cable from the BRAVIA 8's eARC/ARC port. This will allow the TV to send the high-quality audio from all your connected devices back to your receiver to be processed. This setup will allow you to enjoy a stunning picture on the BRAVIA 8 while continuing to use your Onkyo AVR for its high-quality audio capabilities. Thank you again for your interest in Sony products! Best regards, Gus, Sony Social Media Team
