The BRAVIA XR8B brings elevated design, pristine OLED picture, and cinematic sound. Perfect for your living space. Inky blacks and vibrant color brings out astonishing textures, detail, and realism in everything you watch.
Q: What is the difference in a 8 or 8B
A: Hi MC, The XR8B is a retailer-exclusive version of the standard BRAVIA 8 OLED TV, designed to offer a similar core picture and performance at a potentially more accessible price point. Both share the same OLED panel and powerful XR Processor for incredible deep blacks and stunning 4K clarity. The main differences are that the XR8B typically excludes the bundled Sony Pictures Core movie credit promotion and may not feature the advanced XR Contrast Booster processing, which fine-tunes brightness for peak contrast. It's a fantastic option if you prioritize OLED picture quality and savings over those specific features. Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab
A: Thanks for contacting Sony, JimB. The BRAVIA 8 has HDMI 2.1 ports that are designed to handle high-bandwidth signals like 4K@60Hz. For audio, you can simply connect the TV to your Onkyo receiver using a single HDMI cable from the BRAVIA 8's eARC/ARC port. This will allow the TV to send the high-quality audio from all your connected devices back to your receiver to be processed. This setup will allow you to enjoy a stunning picture on the BRAVIA 8 while continuing to use your Onkyo AVR for its high-quality audio capabilities. Thank you again for your interest in Sony products! Best regards, Gus, Sony Social Media Team
Q: Can the remote control be linked through the tv to control a Bose soundbar volume?
A: Hi Eric, Yes, you can control the volume of a Bose soundbar with your Sony TV remote by connecting the two devices via HDMI (ARC/eARC) and ensuring BRAVIA Sync (HDMI-CEC) is enabled in the TV settings. Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab
Q: What is a cognitive processor?
A: Hi Splash, The XR Processor is Sony’s advanced technology designed to mimic how the human brain perceives images and sound. It cross-analyzes hundreds of thousands of elements simultaneously, focusing on the scene's "focal point" to deliver lifelike depth and realism. Additionally, it intelligently aligns the audio with the action on the screen for a more immersive, cinematic experience. Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab
Q: Will the backlit RMF-TX910U remote work with this TV?
A: Hi there, Yes, the RMF-TX910U backlit remote is compatible with the BRAVIA XR8B OLED. Since Sony remotes use a standardized command set, basic IR functions will work immediately, and you can pair it via Bluetooth to enable the voice search and Google Assistant features. This premium remote provides the backlit keys and metallic finish that pair perfectly with a high-end OLED experience. Thanks for choosing Sony. Best regards, Eliab
Q: Does this unit offer the "Picture- In- Picture" feature?
A: Thank you for contacting Sony, Armyvet85. Unfortunately, Picture-in-Picture functionality is not supported on this model or any current Sony TV. This feature is not currently included within the operating system for our latest BRAVIA models. However, we do offer a unique, specialized Multiview feature that you may find useful: When a console is connected and the TV is set to game mode, the TV allows you to run your game on one side of the screen while displaying a YouTube video or stream on the other side. We appreciate your interest in Sony products. Q: Im looking for headphones that connect to the tv. Will headphones work with this tv
A: Hello Jo, Thanks for sending your question. We're happy to assist you with this today! The K-77XR8B TV is one of our newer BRAVIA XR models, and it has Bluetooth 5.3 built-in. That means you can easily pair a set of wireless Bluetooth headphones directly to the TV for a private listening experience. For a fantastic viewing experience, we would suggest two great options: the Sony WH-1000XM5 and the WH-CH720N. We're confident one of these models perfectly matches both your listening needs and your budget. To connect them, you'll just need to put your headphones into pairing mode, then go to your TV's Settings menu, look under Display & Sound, and select Audio output to pair a new Bluetooth device. If you'd like to dive deeper into all the features and functionalities this TV offers, you can explore the details right here: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/musltn1/v1/en-003/index.html We really appreciate you thinking of Sony for your purchase! Sony has proven to maximize oled panels. So much detail In every image, fantastic brightness and color! Gaming Is on a next level! Unfortunately the acustic surface audio lacks any punch & the ATSC 3.0 tuner has issues on some channels, which drops the rating to 4 out of 5.

We absolutely love our 77" Bravia TV! The picture quality is stunning colors are vibrant, blacks are deep, and everything looks incredibly sharp and lifelike. The sound is impressive, but when paired with a sound system it truly feels like a theater experience at home. Setup was easy, the interface is smooth and user-friendly, and streaming is seamless. Movies, sports, and shows all look amazing on this screen. We couldn’t be happier with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium large-screen TV.

I recently purchased the 77-inch Sony Bravia TV, and I couldn't be happier with it. The build quality is outstanding — solid, sleek, and clearly made with attention to detail. The display is stunning with vibrant colors, deep blacks, and sharp clarity that really brings content to life. What I love most is how user-friendly the interface is. Navigating through apps and settings is smooth and intuitive, making the whole experience enjoyable right out of the box. Paired with my Sony soundbar, the audio-visual experience is incredible — like having a mini theater at home. I've been a loyal Sony user since 1994. Based on that experience, I’m confident this new Bravia will be just as reliable and long-lasting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a premium home entertainment upgrade!
