An exceptional TV. I have owned an OLED TV, a QD-OLED TV, and another, technologically inferior, Mini-LED TV. This thing is a beast and in a league of its own. Sure, the contrast will not be as detailed as on an OLED panel, but it surely is no slouch in that regard. It’s a very rich, vibrant, and detailed picture - and while I don’t necessarily think it can be “mistaken for OLED” as people have claimed, it certainly has its “own” image. It’s more “cinematic” than realistic, to an extent. This thing is also a light canon. It can get BRIGHT. Sometimes uncomfortably bright, but in a good way. If that characters on screen are having to shield their eyes from a bright source, you likely will feel the need to do so as well. It’s very immersive. The HDR impact you get from the brightness is something OLED can’t showcase - although the line does draw closer with each generation. Then again, with increased brightness from Mini-LED generations, the gap yet again widens. If you love to game, this tv is right for you. If you love shows, this tv is right for you. If you love movies, this tv is right for you. This is the perfect TV as it will satisfy all variety of consumers. You won’t regret buying this, buy once, cry once. Pictures don’t do this image justice. You gotta see it to really understand. 4000 nits is a sight to behold.

Spent a lot of back and forth reviewing my life choices and whether or not this purchase decision was going to be one of the greatest decisions I've made on this earth and I'm glad to report that it made the list. This TV PQ is worlds ahead from what I used to have hung up on the wall before. Never in the last 20 years have I ever had to squint during bright scenes but this TV made it seem like the sun had entered the room via a window that didnt exist. Google integration in the TV makes it a joy to use, especially google voice commands. The bravia app on iOS works great when you lose the mini remote between the canyon cracks of the sofa. It is on the more expensive side, but given the current deals at the time, I was able to get a free coffee machine from the $ rewards, so double win.

I recently purchased the Sony Bravia 9 85" TV, and it has been an exceptional addition to my home entertainment setup. The picture quality is absolutely stunning, making movies, TV shows, and video games look incredible. The colors are vibrant, the contrast is sharp, and the overall viewing experience is immersive. The blacks are deep, and blooming is non-existent, enhancing the visual experience even further. Since its delivery in early June, the TV has operated flawlessly without any issues. I highly recommend the Sony Bravia 9 85" for anyone looking for a top-tier television. I attached some photos but even my pro max can’t take photos that show how great this tv looks in person.

This tv is amazing. I've had it mounted and been watching it for a month now. Picture is amazing. Bright, clear and simply tremendous. The internal speaker works really well compared to my previous 75" sony from a few years ago. Couldn't be happier!

This is an awesome miniLED TV that can go toe to toe with OLED juggernauts like the LG G4 or Samsung S95D. Here is how I would rate it in different areas Picture Quality 10/10 Brightness 9/10 Reflection Handling 8/10 TV sound 7.5/10 The only complaint I have is that the TV only has 2 HDMI 2.1 ports , one of which is the eARC port. Although not an issue for me personally, but i can see how this might be a problem for some and to be honest, at this price point, Sony needs to do better.

I cant believe I am giving this beautiful TV a one star rating. It has awesome picture quality, brightness, and upscaling of video content. However, the UI feels bloated and laggy, even with something as simple as adjusting volume or changing video and audio settings. The animations are unnecessary and causing delays in the interaction. Please note that a very significant problem has been caused by the most recent software update in June 2026 - many newer Sony TVs including the Bravia 5, Bravia 7, Bravia 9, A95l, Bravia 8, Bravia 8 II, and the newest models all have now developed an HDMI Audio sync issue when playing media on any app on a connected device such as Apple TV or PlayStation 5, the audio cuts out momentarily every 2-3 minutes. It gets worse if you are using a home theater system. This is really unacceptable for such an expensive premium TV. Many online forums has reported this problem and it is a consistent problem across ALL newer Sony TVs, so be aware of this issue. Using the native apps built into the TV works fine and there are not audio issues. I wish I had read the online forums sooner and not updated my TV software. Another notable problem is that after several months of usage, this TV develops bright white spots. I purchased this TV initially as an open box item, and it had about 6-8 months of store display use on it. If you see the photos, you will find that the TV developed bright white patches, but Sony refused to acknowledge that this was a performance issue that should be covered by warranty. The white patches were much less noticeable in watching regular movie content, but it is still not acceptable that Sony thinks this is ok to pass off as normal. I ended up returning my first TV and purchased a second open-box unit from a different store that had fewer hours of store usage and the bright patches are again present but much fainter in this unit, so I will keep the second unit.

Unreal I purchased the Sony Bravia Theater Quad along with the SA-SW5, I read reviews some great and some not so great. I will give you my honest opinion. Its awesome, the real icing on the cake, I paired it with the 85" Sony Bravia 9 the upscaleandpicture and quality alond with stand alonesound is insane. I use the TV as a center channel and the dialect is extremely clear. My ceilings are 8' tall and when Sony made the claim they are bringing Theater home its true. If you want the middle ground in audio file home theater then they over deliver. I was fortunate enough to pickup the speakers from best buy on sale and saved $800.00 shopping during the holidays and signing up for the best buy perks. I recommend this system if you can get a good deal on it. Oh i almost forgot the system works without drop outs and high fidelity music from Tidal sounds better than the reviews I read in my opinion. You wont be disappointed if space and minimal footprint is a factor.

After waiting for almost a year after i read the press release on the Bravia 9, I finally have one in 85". This is an excellent, well made television and probably the pinnacle of what Lcd is capable of. Very bright and detailed image within is best dusplayed in professional or cinema modes. The Google operating system can be finicky during initial setup, but is easily fixed by a quick reset whuch can be done from the back-lit remote. I have played with the tvs built-in speakers, and find them to be amazing. The volume and clarity is reminiscent of the Sony Wega models back when tv's had real speakers. Wasted feature since my Bravia is being added to a Dolby Atmos home theater. As good as the Bravia 9 is with its bright bold picture, its still probably 94 - 95% of Oled image quality. Regardless, this mini-led looks great and should outlast all oleds without the fear of burn-in or dimming pixels.

Picture and sound are very good. It took a while to learn how to arrange all the picture settings for optimum viewing (this is a computer that shows videos), but once learned, it was fairly straight forward. We bought this one because it had a setting to eliminate the “soap opera effect” while watching movies so they don’t look like they are shot on video. A nice feature is having your streaming services on the home screen along with shows previously watched so you can easily continue with the next episode. The sound is good for a TV, but using the optical output to a sound system is the best way to go. This TV is pricy, but considering the money saved not going to a theater, it’s probably worth it. And definitely have the Geek Squad not only deliver it, but also set it up – worth every penny.

Great TV, very clear picture and easy to use features. Upgraded from a Samsung 65” to this Sony 85”. I don’t know about the sound because I use a Sonos Sound system. Had it mounted by Geeksquad and they did great. I did add an electrical outlet behind the TV for ease of installation.

The TV shows up in a huge, heavy box, so be ready when you unbox it and attach the feet (more screws are tucked inside the booklet packet). The build quality is outstanding, but the biggest surprise is the built-in speaker, it sounds amazing! It’s so good I’ve decided to wait on buying HomePods until they get refreshed.

We have really enjoyed the our new 85 inch Sony Bravia 9. Watching sports or movies in our basement is like a trip to the theater or stadium. We hung it ourselves with the Sony Ultra slim wall mount and the set up was a bit time consuming, but the final result is definitely worth it. If I had it to do over again, I might recommend professional installation, but the set up menu was navigable and I genuinely felt a sense of accomplishment when everything was configured. It really was just a matter of following the onscreen direction. We added a Sonos soundbar that we already had and the impact of the sound is impressive. Overall, I’m quite pleased with the purchase and enjoy discovering new settings and capabilities as I continue to explore the features.

Amazing picture and build quality. I got it on open box so hard to comment on value. I wouldn't have paid full price for it though. Don't think it offers enough of an upgrade to one of the cheaper Chinese models. Everything feels substantial including the stand if you use that. I wall mounted. Cable management is heated to routing the cables through the stand feet so a bit annoying on the wall mounting. The TV auto detects the connected devices and advises on how to setup which is nice. The best tv I’ve purchase hands down it’s my first Sony television and I absolutely love it. The sound and picture is amazing especially with gaming I have both Xbox series X and ps5 hooked to it.. definitely worth the money. And I love that the remote is rechargeable

Loving the 85 in model mini LED after replacing an older OLED tv (SonyA80j) that had a burn in. We have a bright living room so the native brightness on the tv is amazing without any reflections on the screen. It is amazing for gaming as well - connecting PS5 was a plug and play experience, defaulted to game mode and the responsive times were great. The only Con I have is the lack of 4K 120 hz ports (only 2) where one is used for a sound bar.

The Sony tv's are the best,..i have 3 already..i like samsung products but on tv's sony has better quantity it might be a little bit pricey but worth it i recommend
