Amazing. Great portable camera. It is sort of delicate so you can’t throw it away in a bag without protection, but it takes really nice pictures.

Bought the camera with 2 lens kit for my wife on our wedding day to take on our honeymoon. Very easy to turn on and use quickly in auto. The menus were a little tricky to navigate at first but like anything else if you just play around with it for a little bit you can get the hang of it! I liked the versatility of having both lenses although the most zoomed on the 16-50mm is very zoomed so we never needed to use the bigger zoom lens on our trip other than to just see what it could do.

I’ve read reviews that the camera is difficult to use but if you play with the settings for a while it’s actually quite simple. The kit lenses are nice for starting my photography journey and I enjoy being able to practice my skills with them. The bokeh and sharpness probably aren’t as great as sharp as the more expensive lens options but you know what they say “it’s not the gear, it’s the photographer.”

I love this camera. It's ideal for any type of a photo shoot. The lenses are really good. The value for the price is excellent. Settings sometimes can be confusing, although I got used to it pretty quick. When you do selfies you can flip the screen and it will automatically put a 3 second timer for you. I used it for vloging a lot too. There are so many different settings to it and scene settings to it and the automatic setting works very well too. It would work great for beginners and professionals.

This is my first mirrorless camera and I love it. It takes great pictures. First time using was a ski meet and then some of a friends dogs running around. Im still learning so the pics arent perfect but Im satisfied with this camera!!!

Its an upgrade from a smartphone and a capable tool even for more serious photography or videos. Connecting Bluetooth or Wi-Fi is frustrating and the Imaging Edge Mobile app adds to the headache. Frequent failure to transfer, errors, or inconsistent performance. Heard for Android users it’s worse. The camera really deserves smoother workflow for transferring files. If you’re looking for a beginner-friendly, high-performing mirrorless camera and don’t rely heavily on wireless transfers, this is a great/wallet friendly option. With some patience (and maybe manual workaround for connectivity) it delivers on what matters most. Just don’t expect seamless phone-based shooting or instant transfers—it’s still something you might need to troubleshoot semi-regularly. Be sure to weigh your options before fully committing to this purchase. Many cameras are bundled with kit lenses or accessories, and those bundles often go on sale giving you a much better value if you’re patient.

Great camera without the bulk! Takes beautiful photos! Love carrying this instead of my huge camera while traveling

I was looking for a high quality digital camera for traveling. I didn't want to carry around anything big and bulky. After extensive reseach and trying out many different brands and models, I settled on the Sony Alpha 6100. The learning curve was not as high as some of the other brands and the navigation menu was easy to understand and fluid. I have been using Photoshop and Light room in conjunction with this camera and it is seamless. The quality of the images is fantastic! I thought my iPhone 14 took great pictures, but after using the 6100 I am blown away! I can print 8" x 10" shots with absolute clarity. Not so much with the iPhone 14. I have traveled with the 6100 and it is light and compact. In my opinion, this is the best option for the money. Being a Totaltech member I automatically get two years of warranty coverage at no extra cost. If you are looking for a high quality DC, look no further, this is a great option.
