The Sony Alpha 7R IV is a true game-changer for professionals and serious enthusiasts. Its 61 MP full-frame sensor captures jaw-dropping detail and stunning dynamic range, while the fast and accurate autofocus with Eye AF makes every shot sharp and reliable. Add 10 fps shooting, 5-axis image stabilization, and 4K video, and you get a powerhouse that handles both photos and video with ease. The build feels solid with improved grip and weather-sealing. File sizes are large, but that’s the price of world-class resolution. Worth every penny!

Best Full Frame camera I have used. With adapters for various lenses, most of your old 35mm lenses from various brands can be used. I keep being amazed by the resolution. Hardest part for me was relearning some of the buttons from my old nikon. But there a lot of programmable buttons.

I purchased this camera to take better family pictures. Great ISO sensitivity, image stabilization, Sony mobile app link with the camera, and overall image quality. Yes, the price is high, but totally worth it in my opinion. Attached are pictures of the moon taken with the Sony a7Riv paired with the Sony SEL200600G lens. I also attached pictures of the Milky Way taken with the Sony a7Riv paired with the Sigma 14-24mm F/2.8. Both pictures (moon and Milky Way) were taken from my house. I stepped outside my house and I took the pictures. This camera is GREAT!!! Highly recommended.

If you like to focus in on the small details in life (near and far) this camera is awesome! I love my 7R III but this camera takes it to another level. Some say that high pixel count isn't that important, and in many cases I would agree. A good camera and the best glass you can afford are most important, but when you want high detail on something you can't get close to, the more pixels the better in my book. When cropping photos in post the detail remains incredible. Sony also increased the dot count in both the view finder and the monitor on the 4A and that made a noticeable improvement primarily in the monitor, My favorite lens is the Sony 100-400 GM Telephoto and I'm really enjoying the results using it with the 7RM4A. Also, a good tripod or monopod is an important tool with the long glass. For nature and wildlife in detail the 7RM4A wins!

A very great high quality camera for photography (and videography work). Shoots in 4K (I believe only up to 30fps) but do be careful of having it on for to long or in hot temperatures because it will overheat.

This camera is truly spectacular. I've recently upgraded from a Canon T3 Rebel (after 12 years of use) and I am beyond amazed with what this Sony camera is capable of. I chose the A7RIV instead of the A7RV (which includes an AI AF processor) largely because I preferred having more autonomy over my images/creativity.

Outstanding camera.. when paired with a quality lens, it’s hard to find any fault I. The resolution and clarity of the camera. Video could be improved but if you are buying the R version of this camera, you’re looking for the resolution over video format.

First time user of a sony camera and I love it! Always bought Cannon before and had many problems. Used this for family pictures and it came out like we hired a professional. Kinda pricy but worth the investment and value.

This is my third generation Sony Mirrorless camera, the second Full Frame and I couldn't be happier. Sony has the edge in Mirrorless technology and it just gets better and better. The camera and corresponding lenses have elevated my game and given me more opportunity to "challenge" my photography with new subject matter. With the extremely quick AF and amazingly huge 61MP RAW files, you have the opportunity to crop heavily in the frame or in post edit and not lose any quality because of the size of the data files. The menu's are extremely detailed because Sony actually listens to it's user feedback. I highly recommend searching some of the photographers with similar subjects that you may wish to shoot who post "setup" for the A7Riv as there is much detail in the setup that you might be missing. I've had this body for a month after trial testing this against the A9ii and after creating a comprehensive spreadsheet of both bodies opted for this one as the best value for my needs. I will begin collecting donations for the A9ii as they each have their own special feature sets and you should spec them both prior to your investment. The resolution on videos is superb, the lightning fast AF amazing, the shutter speeds can fill a memory card if you're not careful, so suggest you use the Sony "Tough" cards, they're worth the investment. I'm am pleased with the direction Sony is going with this technology.

This camera is like operating a “Smart HDTV. It has everything! I believe in paying for peace of mind. So far this camera has done everything I’ve wanted it to do, all I had to do was buy the lenses, filters, and read the manual. It’s like buying an elite car. Don’t buy it if you’re not going to take the time to read and understand it’s capabilities - and there are many.

I went from the Nikon D750 to a Sony A7RIV and I could not be happier! The ease of use is so much more easier and much more lighter compared to my DSLR. The quality is amazing!

The Sony A7RIV is the best camera I've used to date! This is considering it main purpose, Photo Quality! However when it comes to video, it's missing features but its very useful for hybrid shooters, for sports where capturing that extra frame is needed, the 10 FPS and other features are great, but for main use I would go with the A9II or A9 for the budget. Pros: -Photo Quality -Photo Processing -Focus Features Cons: -Video Rate, no 4K at 60p -Video Output, limited at 8 bit -Big Raw Files, no Small or Medium options Overall: You really can't go wrong with this camera, Highly recommended. For video, and external recorder is a good idea.

I thought long and hard about what camera to upgrade to now that there are so many nice mirrorless cameras on the market. I liked the new Canon but when I weighed all the pros and cons... the Sony A7Riv just came out on top. I have used it on a couple dedicated photography trips now and am very happy with my purchase. I pair this to the new tamron 70-300 zoom and it does a very respectable job. Eventually... I plan to get a 200-600 zoom but for now, the smaller lightweight tamron has decent reach and is a breeze to carry. I especially like the ability to program the A7Riv. It allows me to set it up so all the settings I need to change on the fly are quick and simple. I also like the improved grip over the A7Riii. This camera is so much nicer to hold. With the previous version... it was too cramped to hold comfortably but the Riv gives just enough extra grip for my right hand to make it comfortable to shoot even extended wildlife sessions. I've bought 4 of my cameras from Best Buy now and try my best to support the local brick and mortar shops rather than just mailorder. We all need to remember buying local means jobs and tax revenue for our local towns.

So glad I got this beauty, best camera out there for the price and what it can do. My wedding photography got easier.

Having moved from the A7iii, the learning curve was short. Having the ability to crop a 61mp photo is great, but the ability to have the extended reach in crop mode is better. All my lenses now have 1.5 times the reach all with 26MP. Yes the RAW files are large, but I have a custom desktop that's primarily for photo work, so the processing power or file storage isn't an issue. Most of my edited files are 32MB. I'm very glad with this purchase and would highly recommend. I even got it at a $300 discount. Thank you Best Buy

There isn’t anything u really cant say wrong about this camera. I love everything about it. Everything u hear about it in a good way is exactly what it is. If u here anything wrong it’s probably from a person who is used to what they’re used to and haven’t given it a real chance. The great thing about this camera is the megapixels and so much more but that is also the only downside. The files are soooo big. Luckily i have alot of memory space and if you dont then you’ll need it. You can make the files smaller but at the cost of losing some image quality, and there may be a time to do it if its not a professional job but the average person wouldn’t notice a thing. Great camera all the way around the board
