The Sony A7R VI is an absolute powerhouse and one of the most impressive cameras I've ever used. The image quality is simply stunning, delivering incredible detail, dynamic range, and color accuracy that make every shot stand out. Whether shooting landscapes, real estate, portraits, or wildlife, the high-resolution sensor provides amazing flexibility for cropping while maintaining excellent image quality. Sony's autofocus system is outstanding—fast, accurate, and incredibly reliable. Subject tracking and eye AF work flawlessly, making it easy to capture sharp images even in challenging situations. The improved ergonomics and high-resolution EVF make the shooting experience comfortable and enjoyable for long sessions. Despite being known as a high-resolution photography camera, it also performs exceptionally well for video. The stabilization, advanced video features, and excellent autofocus make it a capable hybrid camera for creators who need both photo and video performance. The build quality feels premium, battery life is excellent, and the menu system continues to improve. I've been really impressed with the Sony Alpha 7R VI. It's lighter than I expected, very responsive, and the autofocus is incredibly fast. The image quality is amazing, making it a great camera for everyday shooting.

I’ve owned the two predecessors to this camera, and this is worth the upgrade imo. The greater resolution screen/viewfinder, the revamped menu (thank God), the increased fps and all the other new features are amazing. Very happy with my purchase! One thing—I was annoyed by having to buy new batteries, after building a small collection over the past few years, but if you can afford/justify a camera at this price point, I think you’ll be able to justify new batteries. I have also noticed that despite the batteries being bigger in capacity, this camera tends to burn through them much quicker than the A7rV, so I would buy 1/2 more than you usually would’ve used with the predecessor.

Originally I had an A7R V, and actually transitioned over to Canon for some higher fps. But oh man... am I glad that Sony made an update to match what Canon was offering.. Absolutely giddy to be back on Sony. Limited use so far, but it's been nothing short of great. Focus is fast, accurate, and locks on. Ergonomics are great. Flippy screen is absolutely hands down the best screen on the market.

I have been into photography for ~53 short years. I am currently changing over from Nikon to Sony. Both are extremely excellent manufacturers. I just felt that Sony just has that edge with more controls (and not all of a sudden producing a camera with missing controls) over my digital photography than Nikon for the money. I held out until Sony came up with a camera that controls rolling shutter distortion a bit better in electronic shutter mode. Read up on the RAW format. Seems Sony made up their own RAW format called AWR, which is compatible with Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom. I would highly suggest looking into if Sony RAW (AWR) works with your current post processing programs. If I went over all the features, this review would be well over the 5K limit. If this camera fits your type and style of photography, then this is it.

Much smoother and fast. UI is upgrade to have onscreen buttons. A7rv always felt lacking in video department. Finally 4k in 120fps. Stabilization is much improved with limited crop . Finally color profile has changed - mucn true to life color.

This camera has been a joy to use! While it is a professional grade camera with all the customizable features expected for such a product, I found plenty of YouTube videos to help set up the camera. It is worth the effort to learn everything you can about this amazing product because the image quality is unreal. I look forward to upgrading my photography skills with this camera!

Have bought this camera as an upgrade from my A7RV for a wildlife safari in Tanzania. This camera is outstanding. Picking the eyes of any kind of animal was an almost 100% success. Even animals mostly hidden in high gras, the camera found the eye, locked in on it and kept the focus. I had my A7RV with me as a second body and a wide-angle lens, and it often struggled to get the focus right especially when the animal was moving. The speed of the bursts is another outstanding upgrade. Without it I would have missed many unique shots. For me, this camera is a beast if you use it for wildlife and other fast moving subjects.
