amazing lens, lightweight small design

One of the best lightweight lenses for the Sony Emount system. It's tack sharp and pairs well with my other prime lenses that I take to shoots. Im surprised it's not a GM series lens with the build quality and picture quality it produces on my A1.

Better than Tamron 17-28mm

I’m sure everyone who considers a wide angle from Sony is considering this lens or the tamron 17-28mm. I can tell you with 100% confidence this lens is the better option! Still wide enough for real estate and vlogging and the wide aperture helps with low light! Very sharp lens!

Not sure if it is value for money.

The lense has quite some features compared to my existing samyang f1.4 lense. But the pictures were comparatively better with the $250 samyang one. I missed the 14 days return window so cant do anything now but one thing that I wont regret is the size and weight. It's smaller and ligter than the cheaper lense. I am learning so I might be doing something wrong but that doesn't make my snaps by samyang any better.

Great walk-around lens for hikes

This was my main and only lens for a recent hiking trip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. It's super fast so I knew that I could get the shot in any lighting situation and then zoom (crop) in post. I wanted a single no-fuss lens to handle the wide gorgeous stuff, the normal people posing in front of cool things stuff, and even some close-up and almost macro stuff. This lens delivered.

The Best Vlogging Lens for Sony

The 20mm f1.8 lens stays on my A7C 90% of the time for video. Whether I am vlogging or making travel videos, this lens is light, compact, a great focal length, and a 1.8 for evening content. I love this lens and it keeps my travel setup ultralight.

This has easily become my favorite piece of equipment, it was purchased on a whim becausr they didnt have the one i wanted. One shoot and i was instantly in love. Wide field of view and a great range of focal lenghts. 100% recommend this.

This is my first prime lens when I was using the A6100. Now, it's the a74. Most of my pictures with this lens become my screen savers. I bought this lens on a crop sensor at the time because it was within my price range and have no regrets.

The Awesome Sony 20mm f1.8 Lens
Great build quality and features. I carry this lens with me everytime Im booked for a job. Its not too heavy and it feels great when I use it with my gimbal rig.

I love this lens and still playing with the lens and learning about the lens. I definitely recommend this lens for someone needing an ultra wide angle lens. There are few photos of the Christmas tree at the local mall added to the review.
