This is an amazing soundbar and works even better than I hoped it would. I purchased this in hopes of replacing our receiver with all the surround speakers and wires that go along with that and so glad I did. That type of set up has it's place in this world but not fur us anymore. I did look at many brands and models of soundbars and cheap stuff ain't cool and cool stuff ain't cheap. If you're reading this you're probably in the market for a soundbar and I recommend you do the research and find the best application for your space. The initial hit to the pocketbook may be difficult for folks but you'll be better off in the long run. if you do your homework and spend wisely. I really appreciated the ease of the set up, how well it works with our Sony Bravia tv and that I received an amazing deal on an open box buy. Couldn't be happier with the decision to purchase this unit!

We matched the HT-A5000 with our Sony Bravia 75 inch tv. The sound quality was excellent. Wireless pairing with the subwoofer had to be done manually but was otherwise easy. Bluetooth pairing with our phones was simple, as was setting up the internet connection and music services. Would strongly recommend buying the 4 year warranty. I didn’t and the original soundbar locked up and couldn’t be reset. My fault. Paying another $700 for a new soundbar feels like getting hit low in a boxing match. We wall mounted the soundbar below the tv. The template provided made the process easy and the end result looked sleek and professional. As I said, at just over a year the original soundbar would turn on, display “hello” on the front but would not connect with the tv. I could not reset it with the remote, nor with the onboard buttons. I’m restating this because our area often has power outages, so along with the 4 year warranty, I recommend using some sort of surge protector. All in all, I’ve loved the sound system. Now that I’ve learned some valuable lessons, I hope my personal experience is even more positive.

I love this sound bar! It's long...about 4ft. Its the same length as my 55-inch Sony TV. It takes a little time to set up the pairing, but it's not difficult. I almost purchased a slightly less expensive one, also a Sony, but I'm so glad that I didn't! The sound is so rich, and the range is great. You cannot beat the true Dolby Atmos sound. The sound also really tracks the action on the TV well. Action sequences and vehicle chases sound awesome. Cars or aircraft appear to really move left to right, ect. The upfiring speakers set this bar apart from others, and the way that the bar adjusts itself to the room it's in is some pretty cool tech. It will pair wirelessly with a subwoofer and rear speakers as well, but sounds excellent on its own. Since the Sony TV also pairs with the soundbar, both turn on and off from the TV remote, or my Cable remote. So that's handy. Although I have both TV and soundbar on a TV stand, wall mounting brackets, specific to this bar, were included. So you have options. I have been going back and re-watching all of my favorite movies to hear them through this amazing soundbar. I am very pleased, and I'd recommend this model to anybody looking for quality sound.

I love my new soundbar and surround sound system! It was easy to install and set up. It truly adds a movie theater experience and feels like I’m emerged in the movie myself. The quality of the sound is excellent and the Bluetooth makes it a lot more convenient to use and can play it from anywhere in my house. I and my family love it and look forward to shows, movies, sports, and games every night.

I bought the his soundbar for two reasons: (1) I wanted to experience Dolby Atoms with my Sony A80J OLED and (2) the A80J OLED ARC don’t play nice with a non-Sony soundbar. I hemmed and hawed and saw one that was an open box-excellent for a really good price. I decided to take the plunge and am so glad I did. It works flawlessly with the A80J and the PS5 ( not surprising that Sony plays well with Sony). It can use the A80J’s center speakers so you really get almost a 10.1.2 system if you go all in with Sony. It does have up-firing speakers for the Dolby Atmos effect. This does not have a subwoofer built in but honestly the sound is good without it. I did go ahead and add some rear speakers to get the full effect. I chose the RS3S as not all audio tracks use the rears so I didn’t think the big set was necessary. And I will say that the rears really do make a difference. When they kick in it truly feels like you are in a movie theater. All in all if you have a Sony Bravia tv I would highly recommend this soundbar. They will work together seamlessly and you will have a great setup if you add the optional rear speakers (two optional subwoofers are also available).

Amazing soundbar, perfect match for a bravia TV. Pros: seamles setup, you won't find better match for sony than sony. Premium look and feel. Great sound and expandability. Cons: The expandability is pricey, you may have to pay at least $700 more to get the max capability of the soundbar.

This soundbar has very good performance, especially when combined with a subwoofer. There is no point buying or evaluating a soundbar without a subwoofer. The sound is very realistic for watching movies. For music I found some of the mid and high tones are not as clean and distinct, this can be simply attributed to the fact that the speakers are smaller in size and really can’t compete with larger bookshelf or floor standing speakers. I strongly recommend the SW5 subwoofer if you have a space larger than 200 sq ft. However if you have an apartment or smaller space the SW3 is pretty good. To avoid neighbor issues, you may want to place a subwoofer away from shared walls and even on top of a table (not on the floor directly).

Excellent sound quality. Definitely worth picking up the wireless subwoofer and rear speakers if you have the spare cash (especially the subwoofer, makes a difference!) Have mine paired with a Bravia OLED and PS5 Pro, looks and sounds amazing.

Great sound quality and love the upward firing speakers. They really do change the dynamic of the sound, especially when watching movies. One thing to note is this soundbar is large (see photo comparing this to my old sony bar). If space is limited measure it out first to be certain.

This is an amazing sound bar. You can set it up for several different options like regular tv settings, movie settings with theater options, music, etc… there are so many different options and ways to set stuff up. Also because the rest of my entertainment system is Sony the interface is simple to use. Just another reason why I love Sony.

I would say it's a decent soundbar in a stand alone configuration with upfiring speakers for supporting Atmos formats. i haven't tried it , pairing with a subwoofer and rear speakers. I presume it would sound the best with such a setup. It has a decent voice mode and Night mode too, as well as wifi, BT, and e-Arc connectivity..

Nice soundbar. Like the fact that it communicates over the ARC HDMI port. Initially had problems with audio fading out then upgraded the HDMI cable and haven’t had any issues. Nice integration with Sony Bravia TV, one remote able to control all the settings for TV and Soundbar.

I’ve been wanting and looking for a good sound bar and settled on this one and I’m so happy I did! It has incredible sound and it’s also great playing my PlayStation 5! It’s defiantly pricy but it’s worth it if you are looking for a great sound bar! I 100% recommend this one!!!

This soundbar produces great bass and clarity for the money. I bought it because it comes with acoustic center sync for Dolby Atmos pairing with Sony Bravia TVs. Make sure you get a wide tv stand it barely fits in front of the feet on the X90L.
