I needed a radio that’s was capable of receiving the only all news radio station left in New York. My old radio wasn’t capable of receiving this station even though I’m only 23 miles from the transmitter. After many reviews I settled on the Sony ICF506, and it was a great decision! This radio brings in the station I need loud and clear. In addition, the radio sounds great with music stations and it fits perfect in the bathroom. As well as the bedroom and even outdoors. A great pick in a limited field of portable radios.

I am happy with this radio. I can take it outside and not worry about plugging it in to an area that does not have an electrical outlet. I can take it into the bathroom where it is small enough to put on a shelf out of water's way. And...it has very GOOD sound! Thank you!
