Sony stepped their game up with the second generation of the PlayStation VR. Power and data are now combined into a single USB-C connection. Improved motion sensors on the head unit make the head tracking more accurate. The design of the motion controllers is better too. The screens inside are pretty sharp but won’t leave you in awe. The weight isn’t too bad and it’s pretty comfortable. There’s a noticeable sweet spot in the optics that means you have to get the headset just right to have a clear view. Looking to the edges of the optics leaves much to be desired as you’ll notice how blurry anything outside the sweet spot can get. I wish Sony could have made this version wireless to increase the mobility when wearing it but I understand why they couldn’t. The price of the unit is probably the most off putting thing about it. At nearly 600$ it’s more expensive than the PS5 itself which is easily more important to your gaming than the PSVR2. The PSVR2 is impressive and would be an amazing buy at 400$ which would bring it in under the standalone Meta Quest 3 with 128GB storage and the freedom to play more places. Sony is looking to recover some R&D for sure. The easy to find pass-through button lets you quickly see what’s happening around you if you need to and the telescoping front lets you set a comfortable viewing distance. 4 stars only because I think Sony could have targeted a slightly lower price and allowed more people to get into PSVR2 sooner.

First, a shout-out to the Best Buy team. I bought the PS VR2 here because of the warranty and the convenience of same-day in-store pickup. If you're like me and can't wait for the mail to arrive, the shopping experience was a 10/10. And what truly changes the game isn't just seeing the game, it's feeling it. The vibration in the headset when thunder crashes in Horizon: Call of the Mountain or when an engine roars in Gran Turismo 7 sends shivers down your spine. The adaptive triggers on the Sense controllers make every bow you draw feel real. A little tip for new users: Take 5 minutes to find the "sweet spot" (adjusting the lens to your eyes properly). Once you do, the clarity is crystal clear. And be prepared for your friends not to want to put it down when you invite them over! If you're looking for the most polished and exciting VR experience on the market without any technical hassles, the PS VR2 is the way to go. Sony really knocked it out of the park with this one.

The PSVR2 is amazing. 4K graphics, eye tracking, from 90-120hz refresh rate, and 110 degree FOV. If only we could remove the cord... good thing that its plug and play. If you upgraded from psvr1 now you don't need any external cameras this time around. Just plug it in and you are ready to go. The haptic feedback is in the controllers as well as the headset itself. Nice touch Sony.

Amazing. Visual quality is amazing, fits well, incredibly easy to set-up and use, headphones and microphone built in also are relatively high quality, 10/10 product.

Game changer for gran turismo 7. Can’t go back to playing without it!

Super cool VR system that is a major improvement from the original PS VR. It’s a wired connection to the PS5, but it’s a small sacrifice (for some). If you want better performance than what the Meta Quest (any of them) are currently capable of, it’s worth it. Gets you really into the virtual world and almost feels real to the point the cord isnt even an issue. Wont have to worry about lag with it being wites either. Not as many games as you would think, but rapidly coming out with more and more. Worth the money if you wanna add to your PS5 and explore a whole new side of what PlayStation has to offer.

Best VR for ps5 I’ve ever laid my hands on. Ive always wanted something special when it came to console gaming. Ever since the 90s I knew that one day I’d be looking at something in my home such as this. I compared it to the meta quest and while the quest may have some games I wanna play. I couldn’t get away from how immersive it is when it comes to plug and play for my PS5. This is coming from a guy who was prepared to return the unit and I’ve had it for several months.

I like it but Resident Evil Village gave me motion sickness and I started sweating (!) within 5 minutes of playing. I’ve never had motion sickness and this aspect of VR caught me off guard. I’ll be returning it because I don’t have a lot of time so the time I do spend playing I would prefer to not feel sick. Very fun time playing mini golf though! Just isn’t worth it for me where I am right now. My younger days I would power through it.

Great headset I was waiting for the psvr2 he’d seat to be compatible with pc and now that it is with the pc adapter I bought this headset and it’s such a great purchase. It makes sim racing and flight sim so immersive and the other games are fun too lmao. Highly recommend for anyone who does sim racing or flight sim stuff

Ive never had an experience like this before. Theres been some arcade games before that were similar but nothing comes close to the immersion here. When you play a VR game it feels like youre truly there. Its uncanny and can catch you off gaurd at first. Visuals look great and everything is responsive. Could use some more games but there are some really fun ones to play around with. You can get really sweaty however. Great time regardless

I tried the PSVR when it came out for Playstation 2 and was not impressed too much. I bought tye PSVR2 on a whim at a Bestbuy when I went in to pick up a mouse for my work laptop. It is a whole other device. Very imersive and so worth the price. Bought Horizon call of the mountain and not only is it fun and an incredible use of the headset and controllers with haptic vibration and tracking it is exercise. Wear my apple watch while playing and on average I burn 500 to 700 calories LOL

This VR is the best I’ve ever used. The OLED display is awesome. There is no “screen door” effect and the graphics are what you’d expect from the PS5. So far I have Creed, Pavlov, and Hubris. Pavlov is the best online multiplayer shooter (right now) that has some really good graphics. You can play regular games on it (It looks like a big floating screen). It also runs at 120hz so Warzone looks really good.

Its so much fun, and fits comfortably. Can be worn with glasses although I recommend getting contact lenses for best possible enjoyment. Limit gaming sessions to 30 minutes, make sure you rest your eyes in between sessions for a minimum of one hour and also drink plenty of water because VR can dehydrate your eyes.

This be headset is waaaayyy better than any other be on the market I’ve been using PlayStation version of vr for years now and I still feel like I’m really in the game good job Sony!!

The PSVR2 is amazing! I play Povlov, Grand Turismo and Resident Evil Village and they are really fun to experience on VR. I recomend everyone to try it...when you do you wont regret it.

Oh my gosh this is the real deal! Use for Grand Turismo racing and it is so much better than flat screen. Took a little bit of time figuring out that one of the hand controllers needed to be charged before set up. Otherwise works great. Added later corrective lens inserts so I don't have to wear my glasses.
