These headphones are my second pair of studio headphones and I can tell the difference from my last pair of headphones, I upgraded from the shure $100 pair headphones, and The difference is unreal for a $180 increase, the Sonys are more comfortable and lightweight To the point I don’t even get a heaphone dent on my hair so that already a plus, and the difference in audio is great it’s more fuller with true low frequency accuracy (not everyone ears is the same) when I produce you can feel the full of the low end and little of the sub frequencies, when I bounce out my track The sub and low end on 808’s aren’t lacking and I usually get it just right with losing clarity in the other instruments in the track. Just to clarify these are closed back headphones so you have to pair them with a spatial audio (Dolby atmos for headphones ) to obviously get the surround theses aren’t pair with 7.1 drivers, it’s only stereo, but trust me these are flat and tell the truth about your mix but if your listening to music or watch a movieI would recommend spatial audio with a boost in the low mids and slightly raising the lows and sub frequencies as they can feel hollow in those frequencies. In conclusion these pair of headphones really are worth it whether it’s on sale or not, these don’t boost frequency and has a wide room with clarity in the mids, super lightweight, and paired with Dolby atmos your going to be satisfied with your purchase.

Excellent headphones with great sound quality. Pretty lightweight which is a plus and is a comfortable fit around the ears. Good value in price for what you get!

The Sony M1's are exactly what I was looking for. I've owned the Sony MDR7506 for a very long time and has been extremely reliable pair (which still work great), but wanted an upgrade for my studio. Sound quality on the M1 is amazing and are very comfortable for extended use. So far, no complaints whatsoever. I'm sticking with Sony when it comes to Pro Audio!
