I don't often leave reviews but I needed a break from studying. So here goes.. I previously owned a Sony WH-1000XM6 Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones. Unfortunately, it was damaged during travel and I was not ready to spend a significant amount of money on headphones again. With great reviews, I took a leap of faith the Sony - WHCH720N. I actually gave it a listen at a Target store, but as you know, store display units are usually tethered to a wire and the way they have them set up just does not allow you to truly experience the sound each device delivers. It was pretty quiet at the store and the music they had playing as demo sounded pretty good, so I figured, why not? I thought it was a phenomenal deal considering it was at a discounted price of $100, down from $250. I learned that the quality was also discounted significantly When it comes to noise cancellation, the 720N underperforms compared to the WH-1000XM6. Even at maximum volume, I can still hear a it of my surroundings with the 720N. I did not have that problem with the WH-1000XM6. If you have ADHD, or kids, or both, you're gonna want a different pair of headphones. I do not have expertise in audio engineering, so In terms of sound quality, you will just have to experience it for yourself to know if it's the right one for you. For me, the 720N rivals Bose' Quiet Comfort (which was still twice the price of the 720N at the time of purchase, so I went with the practical choice). But the WH-1000XM6 still takes the cake. I am all about that bass, and the 720N (for the price) delivered. The overall sound quality is not as rich and vibrant as the premium model, but if you are on a budget, you will be happy to know that the sound settings are customizable through the Sound Connect app. AI Assistant: I'm not sure if this is because I have an iPhone, but for some reason, the only option for assistant is Alexa. I'm new to Apple, so I'm quite partial to Google/Gemini and was very disappointed when I found out that I can't use Google. (Then again, maybe it wouldn't have worked since Siri is my phone's native assistant. Who knows.) It was an option when I was still using an Android. Connectivity: So far, bluetooth connection has been stable. I have an iPhone 17 Max Pro. There was a long period when my WH-1000XM6 intermittently disconnected from my Samsung S25 Ultra. I have mixed feelings about the *feel* of the 720N. It is very light, which is great for long wear. Though sometimes it almost too light, it feels cheap. But because the box said it's made of recycled plastic, they get points for sustainability. Good job, Sony! If battery life is important to you, supposedly the 720N should last 50 hours (almost twice as long as the WH-1000XM6). But this is only if you're not using ANC. That said, if you have ADHD and need complete detachment from your surroundings, this is a minor point. But here's the good news: both models have a headphone jack, so if you're working on your laptop, you can just simply go wired. On this note, I have a suggestion for headphones manufacturers: Make bluetooth headphones usable while charging. Please. With cherries on top. Anyway, my verdict: The Sony 720N offers good sound quality for standard use. Noise handling is acceptable but not adequate for intense focus. Lightweight and comfortable. Affordable but you get what you pay for. Don't get fooled by the deep discount. You are not getting a deal. You are simply paying the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) plus some margin. Look at it this way: Manufacturers COGS is usually 25-40% of MSRP. So, at $250, it cost them ~$63 to produce a pair of 720N. (Hey, China!). They then sell to retailers usually at ~60–70% of MSRP, making the wholesale cost to Best Buy around $150-175. So, when you buy the 720N at $100 instead of $250, you're still paying at least $30 more than it cost to make it........ You then have to wonder, "How much more advanced technology, premium materials, sound quality, and noise handling could an extra $30 have afforded me?" Find out when you buy the models that have them for $460+

The sound quality is great for casual listening, with deep, punchy bass that really shines in hip-hop, R&B, and pop. The mids can feel a little crowded at times, but nothing that ruins the vibe. If you want a more balanced sound, the Sony Headphones Connect app lets you tweak the EQ and make it your own. Noise cancelling isn’t as crazy powerful as their top-tier models, but for under $150 (and often way less on sale), it actually blocks out a good chunk of background noise—perfect for commuting, studying, or just zoning out. Comfort-wise, these headphones are super lightweight, and the ear cushions are soft enough for all-day wear without that annoying pressure feeling. The battery life is wild—up to 35 hours with noise cancelling on and up to 50 hours without it. Plus, you can get around an hour of playback with just a quick 3-minute charge, which is a lifesaver when you're on the go. They also support multipoint Bluetooth pairing, so you can stay connected to your phone and laptop at the same time, which is super clutch if you’re multitasking. I really like these headphones. The charge lasts extremely long. Maybe up to 35 hours? Takes forever for the battery to run down. It really is amazing. Comfort is very good as well. My ears never hurt. I'm thinking maybe some have more plush cushion. Try them on first before you purchase to see how they feel for you. The sound quality is excellent. Extremely strong and punchy bass. The drums while listening to a live concert sound so powerful. Very tight and punchy like hearing a real drum. Noise cancellation is very good as well. It's not complete like maybe the most expensive top of the line noise cancellation headphones are. ( I couldn't tell you how effective that noise cancellation is because I've never owned top of the line before ) But on these Sony headphones I would say the cancellation is about 70 percent effective? It blocks any outside noise to a reasonable level which is low and muffled so it doesn't bother you. Loud noises and voices will no longer be loud but muffled instead, And hard to hear if you're listening to music. I am very happy with my purchase. I think you will be as well.

I've been impressed with the Sony WH-CH720N headphones. They offer excellent noise cancellation and great sound quality with solid bass, and an incredibly lightweight, comfortable design I can wear for hours. The battery life easily lasts through days of use, and quick charging is a handy bonus. While the build is mostly plastic, it keeps them light, and the performance far exceeds the price, making these a top value pick for anyone wanting great ANC without a premium cost. If you're looking for budget Noise Cancelling headphones with excellent sound quality and EQ settings, these are your best bet. My girlfriend recently purchased these and with her first time getting into trying noise-canceling and over-the-ear headphones, she loved them. I was interested as I recently purchased the Sony WH-1000XM5 and I wanted to see if these were close to these headphones I will honestly admit, these are crazy good but do lack some of the features that the XM5s do have. PROS: Comfort and weight (Alongside to my XM5's the WH-CH720N's have the same lightweight and comfortable feeling as my XM5's. With wearing them for a few hours, I would honestly say that these feel really comfortable and does not give me any fatigue.) -Sound Quality (I was surprisingly blown away by how these headphones absolutely sounded and it was similar to my XM5's. I am not a hardcore audiophile but as a daily user of tech and just being an average person trying them out, it was great. If you are able to find a good setting for the EQs in the app, you can make these things sound like 200-250 dollar headphones.) -Noise Cancellation (These have great noise cancellation, especially for the price and it is able to eliminate the sound of road noise, people talking in an open room, and obviously random noise that you hear in a quiet room.) -Battery life (With the reported 35 hours of battery life is just insane. My girlfriend purchased these after about a week and receiving them for about 60-65% of the charge at this moment still having 50% is really good and she also uses them for being at home or when traveling.) CONS: -Build Quality (While holding these headphones and seeing how they feel on the hands, it feels cheap which is very understandable at this price point. But it would be nice for Sony to be able to possibly make a better quality pair of headphones at this price and I am fine with this because the sound is what mainly should impress you, especially at this price point which was purchased on sale.) -No case (It would be nice on having just a simple case that comes with the headphones to protect them. This is just a personal thing but as a person who spends their hard-earned money, you would want to protect your investment and not just let it sit in a bag possibly breaking them.) Overall these headphones are worth every penny and if you are someone who doesn't want to break the bank but still want the amazing sound quality, these are your best bet. There are other options out there that do fill in the cons of these headphones but when it comes to noise cancellation and EQ settings, I feel that Sony is top-tier when it comes to this.

Best headphones for $150. They sound amazing for the price. I listen to a lot of hip hop and that bass really pops. The ANC I have to say is surprisingly good. Super light weight! They feel so comfortable on your head with the foam padding. I use them for chillin watching movies or just listening to music and they do an amazing job. You would love them too if you're into working out and need some light weight headphones to use that wont make you feel uncomfortable with the weight or the fit. The physical buttons are nice and clicky. I've had them for over a month now and I can honestly say that these are the best headphones I've ever purchased and I've bought a couple that made me feel ripped off. If you know Sony then you should know they have the best quality when it comes to sound. I highly recommend these headphones.

I've bought other headphones before, but they usually give me a headache if I wear them for more than two hours. These, however, are comfortable even after three hours. The sound quality is superb, as you would expect from Sony. Pairing my laptop, iPad, or mobile phone with them is a breeze. They are easily discoverable by any device you may own. While I haven't fully tested the battery capacity, I’ve been using them on and off for four days without needing a charge. For its price, this headset would make an excellent daily driver.

I have been using the Sony WH-CH720N wireless noise cancelling headphones and overall they perform very well. The sound quality is clear and balanced with good bass, making them enjoyable for music, videos, and calls. They are also very comfortable to wear for long periods because they are lightweight. The battery life is excellent and lasts a long time between charges, which is very convenient for daily use. The noise cancelling works well for reducing background noise like conversations and traffic, although it is not completely silent like higher-end models. Overall, these are great everyday headphones for the price.

Overall, my initial response is that I'm very happy with my purchase for this price point. They feel solid and durable and well made. Comfort - I find them extremely comfortable. I've worn them for up to an hour at a time and didn't have any discomfort while sitting, puttering around, or working out on a treadmill. Sound - I'm no expert, but I've had several different types of headphones over the years, and I'm very happy with the sound, especially after adjusting the equalizer in the app, which was very easy. battery life - very impressive. I've used them several hours and the percentage has barely changed. ANC / adaptive sound control - overall, happy with this. In ANC mode, it blocks most sounds very effectively. I feel like they do a better job than much more expensive Anker and Bose headphones I trialed in the store, so very impressed with that. The ambient sound setting does a great job of making voices around me come in loud and clear, and after some adjustment in the app settings, it can block other ambient noises really well, while still letting voices through. Kind of amazing, actually. Connectivity - I haven't had any issues with individual connections, however I've had some issues with it switching between devices when using it's ability to simultaneously connect to 2 devices. It can do it, but it takes several buttons. I'll keep playing around with that, in case I'm missing something. Phone calls - Fantastic. Haven't had connection issues (except with the above multipoint connections) and the sound is fantastic. I can hear them clearly, and my mom, who is hard of hearing, could actually hear me better through the microphone on this headset than when talking to her directly through my iPhone! All in all, especially for this price point (I paid about $90), I couldn't be happier. I think the multiconnection technology needs some work, but I have zero complaints outside of that. Truly impressive headphones. Certainly the best I've owned, and as I said above, the sound and noise cancellation are both adjustable, and to my ears, were as good or better than much more expensive headphones.

I was very skeptical at first because regardless of the hype, I wanted to make sure i was getting my moneys worth because I dont like dropping a lot of money on things like this. I wanted something effective at blocking out noise with pretty good sound. I was trying to keep the price range close to $100, and the only choices I had were Raycons, JBL’s, Beats and these sony’s. After a week of deliberating and asking around. The Best Buy rep helped me the most. The biggest thing as well was almost everything else was on-the-ear, instead of over-the-ear, and i have 25mm tunnels with a few other piercings. These are so comfortable and dont press against anything! Theyre so lightweight that i forget they’re even there. I highly recommend this set!!!

The headphones have great, clear audio quality with both the cable and Bluetooth, and it feels comfortable to wear. The battery life is great. (No low latency Bluetooth codecs though, so use the cable for that.) The only problem I have is that there is no way to use the buttons to disable noise cancelling (only toggles ambient noise). There is also no desktop app for any platform… The ONLY way to disable noise cancelling (on computer) without instead using the cable is to first connect it with a phone, disable noise cancelling in the app (requires internet to use after download!!), then disconnect the Bluetooth on the phone, and THEN connect it to the computer. This gets annoying quick! Other than that, these are great headphones.

I’ve used these headphones for nearly 3,000 hours and can honestly say they are more than worth the price point. These are excellent for noise suppression and noise filtering in loud work environments, on planes, buses, and trains. The sound quality is clear and adjustable to your personal preferences with the Sound Quality app and gives you plenty of pre-made level adjustments so you can find what you prefer quickly (I use the Bright level adjustments). They work well for phone calls, have a good Bluetooth range, and hold 40-60 hours of charge even after nearly two years of constant use. Noise suppression will obviously drain the battery a bit faster, but even still these are my favorite headphones of all time. I will be repurchasing this make and model again if mine ever break. They’re just now beginning to show signs of wear on the actual ear cushions themselves, but the cushions are replaceable! Definitely worth the money :)

I’ve purchased this 3 times . 1 for me . 1 for my man. And 1 for my dad. The battery last so long. The sound quality great ! Comfortable ! The app is easy . Pairs easy with my iPhone . Just a overall great product for the affordable price

This headphones are so good. they are not very heavy, and so comfortable to wear. The sound is amazing and the noise cancelling works better than others in my opinion. I had mine for over a year, and bought a second one for a gift since I know they are so good and on a budget as well. I did an extensive research in order to buy the perfect for me. If you are looking some quality headphones, with good sound, noise canceling, this is it!

These Headphones Are light, comfortable, breathable, and do not make your ears moist like some heavy one. Noise cancellation is greater than most at this price range, definitely better than some above as well. Perfect for those wanting an amazing entry level pair of Headphones that can last you at least 1-2 years with no issues and amazing quality. Is made of plastic but that’s what makes it amazing at being light, sometimes feels as if you have nothing on.

I was originally convinced that Apple only made these types of noise Headphones because Apple products are marketed very well. But at one-third the price ($162 vs $499 without tax), the basic Sony Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones (WHCH720N) are unbelievable and I love them. Sometimes I just wear them at my apartment to block out noise without them playing audio (because they literally will block out the birds chirping at my apartment telling the community that the sun is about to go down). With the Sony app, they work on my iPhone IOS 16.5, iPad, and Dell G7 laptop with no problem. The Sony headphones connect the easiest to my Dell G7 laptop out of all my devices.
